Rule: Past tense is used for describing something happened in

the past. Add ‘ed’ to the verb.

Ex: I worked hard yesterday. Add ‘D’ to the verb ends with “e”

Ex: I invited my friends to the party last week. Y + consonant cross Y and add “ied”

Ex: I studied English yesterday. Y + vowel add “ed”

Ex: I enjoyed the film last night. One vowel + consonant double the last letter and

add “ed”

Ex: Last summer , I travelled to Alex.
