New playground climbing steps have been installed at the Junior School. The steps were donated
by a JS parent, and the in-stallation cost was paid for with the proceeds the JS received in August from the PFA.The children, of course, were thrilled, reports JS Principal Fran-coise Akina.

A panel of four seniors shared their experiences in choosing colleges and what helped them prepare for the college application process. Topping students’ list of
items they credited as they go through their challenging year was supportive parents. They also recommended attending college fairs, nar-rowing down the criteria of what really interests them and taking summer classes at colleges.

usually refers to our children;; but in this case it is more literal. Flowers,
and, of course, beans are thriving and taking root at Le Jardin Acad-emy. The Junior School, Lower School and Middle School broke ground this fall, replanting existing beds and creating an array of new gardens. The Junior School, through the

in their raised planters under the guidance of Junior School Principal Francoise Akina, Junior Kindergar-
Morgan LaRue. The three dug in with parent volunteers and little student hands to plant a variety of vegetables including an assortment of herbs and tomatoes. The farm-to-table project will culminate in
garden ingredients, then shared by all.
