Working with the very finest American and French oak to explore that most esoteric relationship between spirit and wood, Black Art is master distiller Jim McEwan’s personal voyage into the heart of unpeated Bruichladdich. The composition of casks remains a mystery to all but its creator.

OCTOMORE 6.1 (SCOTTISH BARLEY)泥煤怪兽苏格兰麦芽限量版6.1号

这是酒厂旗下试验性另类产品泥煤怪兽的第六个版本，堪称全球泥煤味最重的一款威士忌。泥煤含量极高，但又拥有轻盈微妙的复杂度和颇具迷惑性的细腻口感。年轻，却又十分成熟——有如一个永恒的谜题。

The world’s most heavily peated whisky, this is the sixth edition of our highly experimental cult bottling, Octomore. Titanic amounts of peat, but with a light, delicate complexity and a beguiling finesse. Young, yet eminently mature, it remains an enigma.

Our uber-provenance Islay Barley series continues. Harvested in 2006 and distilled in 2007, the grain for this iconic whisky was grown in the Minister’s Field at Rockside Farm, by Mark and Rohaise French. An Islay whisky, from barley to bottle.

PORT CHARLOTTE (SCOTTISH BARLEY)波夏苏格兰麦芽

这款威士忌融合了布赫拉迪经典的优雅花香与浓重的艾雷岛泥煤味。它以百分之百苏格兰大麦为原料，涓滴蒸馏并在海滨小村夏洛特港陈年，以艾雷岛泉水稀释后在酒厂内装瓶。

Showcasing the union between the classic floral elegance of Bruichladdich and heavy Islay peat. Trickle distilled from 100 per cent Scottish barley, the spirit gently matures in the lochside village of Port Charlotte, before being bottled at the distillery using Islay spring water.

We believe our single malt whisky should speak of where it comes from. Bruichladdich is the only major distiller to distil, mature and bottle all its spirit on Islay. Extraordinary to think it could be any other way, isn’t it? We use 100 per cent Scottish barley – we believe it’s called “Scotch” for a reason, while in 2010 we also released the first single malt whisky to be made purely from Islay barley, probably the first in the island’s history (see below). Our farmers know every inch of their land and the meaning of every cloud in the sky. Our water comes from farmer and friend James Brown’s Octomore farm, up on the hill behind our Port Charlotte warehouse. Our Islay barley is dried in the sheds of the Wood brothers, Andrew and Neil, up the road at Octofad farm. We passionately believe in terroir ¬– in authenticity, place and provenance. We seek to produce the most natural, thought-provoking, intellectually stimulating and enjoyable spirit possible. Obsessive? Probably. But if all you want is a whisky, the world is awash with the stuff.
