• 430명의 미국인 대상 • 인터넷 의료정보 검색, 걲강염려도, 인터넷 문제 사용 사이의 연관을 조사함 • 인터넷 검색으로 걲강염려도가 증가핚 사람은 인터넷 문제 사용이 높음 • 이 효과는 검색빈도와 부정적 정서에 기인하지 않음

6. Discussion

• 걲강에 대핚 염려가 올라갂 Group은 31.4%로 White연구 (38%)와 유사

• 기존연구들은 빈도와 걲강염려가 관렦 있다고 주장 • 예상대로, 건강 염려도가 올라간 그룹은 PIU가 높으며, 이는 건강관련 검색의 빈도나 부정적 감정의 영향이 아님

• Decline의 PIU > no impact의 PIU 는 부정적 감정의 영향이다

• PIU 의 특징 중 (통제감 부족, 집착, 기분전환 수단) 요소들이 • Cyberchondria와 연관성이 높다

• 인터넷에 집착이 강핚 사람은 의료정보를 찾는 것이 걲강에 대핚 걱정을 줄여줄 것이라고 생각했지만, 괴로움이 됨
