Based on more than 25 years of highspeed motordrill experience and conti-nuous development adeor launches the all new electric Velocity highspeedmotordrill system.

The Velocity system is designed to exceed existing requirements on highspeed motordrill systems. It

is more powerful than most electric drill systems whilst generating significantly less heat without the need

of active cooling.

Velocity Control Unit

The compact control unit has been designed utilising feedback from

numerous surgeons in various regions of the world. The result is a con-

sole that is easy to operate with only a minimum of buttons. No lengthymenus to navigate, no overload of functionality. This reduces the likeli-

hood of operating errors, time needed for installation and set-up as well

as training requirements.

The control unit meets or exceeds all applicable safety standards. Its

dimensions are a new benchmark for high-speed drill systems. It can be

easily placed close to the user and almost without any hindrance to

other medical apparatus within the OR.

Most functions of the control unit can also be operated by the surgeon

using the foot switch. This is not just time-saving but also reduces the

need to communicate between sterile and non-sterile OR personnel.

The control unit also features an inbuilt irrigation pump with adjustable

flow rate. This feature eliminates the need for an additional irrigation sy-

stem for the drilling process.

Grundlage fr die Entwicklung der neuen Velocity Steuereinheit war

das Feedback zahlreicher Chirurgen im In- und Ausland. Das Ergebnis

ist eine Steuereinheit, die sich intuitiv bedienen lsst. Auf komplizierte

Mens und eine groe Anzahl von Knpfen wurde bewut verzichtet.

Das reduziert die Gefahr von Bedienfehlern ebenso wie den Schu-

lungsaufwand.

Die Steuerkonsole wurde nach den hchsten Sicherheitsstandards ent-

wickelt und ganz bewusst extrem kompakt konzipiert, wodurch sie sich

im Operationssaal ohne jede Behinderung neben der Vielzahl anderer

Gerte leicht unterbringen lsst.

Die meisten Funktionen des Velocity Systems lassen sich auch, direkt

vom Operateur, ber das neue Fupedal ansteuern. Das spart Zeit und

reduziert den Kommunikationsaufwand im OP-Saal.

Neu ist auch die in der Kontroleinheit integrierte Splpumpe mit variabler

Frdermenge. Der Einsatz einer zustzlichen Person zum Bedienen

einer Spleinheit whrend des Arbeitens mit dem Velocity-System ist

somit hinfllig.

>The Straight System Setup

As highspeed trepanation became more and more popular, straight mo-tordrill systems dominated the market. Until this day, many surgeons

prefer a straight system for various reasons. For some cranial procedu-

res, such as perforation and craniotomies, a straight setup is ideal. With

the all new adeorVelocity System, surgeons have the unique possi-

bility to switch between straight and angled system setup, using ade-

ors unique thumb snap mechanism.

>The Angled System Setup

Sometimes the anatomical strucutres necessitate an angled system

setup. Compared to the straight setup, it offers better and improved er-

gonomics, especially during longer and delicate procedures. To change

from straight to angled setup, simply exchange the VMM-100S straight

adapter with the VMM-100A angled adapter.

There is no requirement for angled attachments, thereby saving the cus-

tomer money and simplifying maintenance, handling and reprocessing.

Perforator Setup

The Velocity System features a dedicated perforator adapter which can

easily be connected to the Velocity High Speed motor using adeors

unique thumb-snap mechanism. The perforator adaptor is industry-lea-ding in terms of slim-line design and low weight. It offers the user a high

level of torque in combination with a rotational speed of 1200 rpm. With

the integrated Hudson chuck fitting, the adapter can be used with

adeor MERIDIANTM cranial perforators or any other brand perforators.

Perforator-Adapters, welcher mit einem Handgriff auf den Highspeed

> Lightweight Aluminium & Stainless Steel

All system components are available in either stainless steel or alumi-nium. Aluminium parts benefit from a significant reduction in overall

weight, improving overall ergonomics of the system. Stainless steel parts

are very durable and hard-wearing. Identification of the different materi-

als is easy: Aluminium parts feature black plastic (PEEK) components

whereas the ones used for stainless steel parts are blue.

Alle Systemkomponenten sind sowohl in Aluminium- als auch Edel-

stahlausfhrung erhltlich. Aluminiumkomponenten zeichnen sich durch

ihr geringes Gewicht und die dadurch verbesserte Ergonomie aus, wh-

rend Edelstahlkomponenten extrem haltbar und belastbar sind. Alumi-

niumkomponenten werden mit schwarzen, Edelstahlkomponenten mit

blauen Peek Komponenten ausgeliefert.

Velocity Nosepieces are available in five different lengths. They allow

the cutting tip to provide smooth and controlled bone dissection for ad-

vanced procedures. No tools are required for assembly of the attache-

ments or cutting burrs. Special designs are available upon request.

Velocity Craniotomes are available in three different lengths. They are

CNC manufactured using one piece of material only. This allows unex-

celled stability and lifetime. No tools are required for assembly of the

craniotomes or cutting burrs. Special designs are available on request.

Velocity Schfte sind in fnf unterschiedlichen Lngen erhltlich. Durch

die hochprzise Fertigung der Velocity Schfte ist eine absolut vibrati-

onsfreie Fhrung des Frsers gewhrleistet. Fr den Zusammenbau ist

kein Werkzeug erforderlich. Spezielle Lngen sind auf Anfrage erhlt-

lich.

Die VelocityKraniotome sind in drei unterschiedlichen Gren erhltlich.

Sie sind aus einem Stck CNC-gefrst wodurch die Kraniotome bei

Haltbarkeit und Lebensdauer neue Mastbe setzen. Fr den Zusam-

menbau ist kein Werkzeug erforderlich. Spezielle Gren sind auf An-

frage erhltlich.
