Vision StatementTogether we nurture the life of our studentsHand in hand we witness to the Love of Christ

Core ValuesWe celebrate a student-centred approach in running our school. Each of the young persons entrusted to our care is unique in the sight of God, en-dowed with gifts to be nurtured. Translated into practice, this means that no student is to be given up, and the interests of students override other interests.

Rapid societal changes require that we equip students with qualities to meet the new challenges. They shall have good academic performance to survive in a knowledge-based economy, an international outlook to em-brace our nation and the world, confidence and innovativeness to think out of the box. The key lies in being positive with our students, helping them to believe in themselves, offering them opportunities to receive training and encouraging them to try and to perform.

This is an overall approach which we have named Invitational Education, expressed in our sloganLet our students shine.

Ms Chow Gin TingHello, I'm Miss Michelle Chow. Nice to meet you all. Being a fresh graduate, I'm delighted to start my career as a teacher in Shatin Pui Ying College. I'm teaching S.1,2 & 4 English and I'm also the class teacher of 2B. It's my pleasure to have these three classes of fun and energetic students.

Apart from English, I also love music, especially a cappella. You'll see me practicing with our school a cappella group, the Cherub Singers and helping with the school musical production. As I'm also a feline lover, it's not hard to recognize me. Just spot the teacher with lots of cats stuff in Staffroom 1!Wish you all a fruitful and joyous year.

Hello everyone! I am Ms Chau and I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. Having just graduated from university, I am thankful God lead me to Shatin Pui Ying College where I can embark on my teaching career. I am enthusiastic about being part of the school as everything is new to me; from being a class teacher to teaching subject other than English i.e. Religious Studies. But with the help and support from colleagues, I am getting settled into my new role in this loving and welcoming environment. A personal goal of mine is to help students reach their potentials in order to succeed in their future endeavor as well as to nurture them to become different individuals.

Ms Chan Wai YanTeaching S1, S4 and S5 Liberal Studies in Shatin Pui Ying College is a very exciting opportunity for me. I am deeply impressed by student's versatile skills and active responses, which enable us to exchange lots of ideas during discussions. I am also thankful for your gentle welcome, familiarizing me in this new environment. Looking back, I have learned most of what I know in experiencing, and I am impacted most by personal struggles. Therefore, I would also love to listen to your stories and join with you in all your struggles. I wish we can do the best with what we have and embrace what make us unique together.

Hello students and colleagues at Shatin Pui Ying College! I'm one of the babies here(!)...I'm very happy to have come to teach at our fine school with so many interesting and worthwhile activities (besides all the lessons) such as the En-glish musical drama (which I have the honour of being the assistant director and working with other fine colleagues and students) to be performed early next July before the summer holidays---don't miss it, it's a great story and so many are working very hard on it! I have performed as an actor in various drama pro-ductions in both Canada, my native country, and Hong Kong, and also directed students in school productions.

I spent some of my tender years with my be-loved late Grandmother on the hill overlook-ing our School. Working at Shatin Pui Ying College brings back a lot of my fond child-hood memories.

I teach S.4 to S.6 English Language. I enjoy teaching English as lesson time can be used not only for sharpening communication skills but also for sharing of cultures and customs, and more importantly beliefs and values. This year, I also work as a Careers Guidance teach-er who will help out in students' life planning lessons and various activities to help students set clear goals in their lifelong journey.

Mr. Trimbee Marc William

Ms Wong Siu Yung

The teachers at Shatin Pui Ying College are young, energetic, diligent and very dedicated. I believe these qualities will be passed on to our young Eagles who will make their parents and teachers proud in the future.

Our school has so many fine pro-grammes in sports and various other subject areas as well which all help to create a busy, but interesting school life for everyone...go for it!! Ive been teaching in Hong Kong for 17 years already (time flies!) and in Canada for 10 years before that (I started teaching when I was about 10 years old---ha, ha!). I am of both English and French-speaking heri-tage, and also speak Spanish fluent-ly and fairly good German (and a few survival phrases in several other lan-guages if needed!)---in short, I love language, linguistics and learning about many different cultures.

Learning other languages helps us to think more critically but also sympathetically as it can enable us to appreciate others more (and they appreciate us as we try to reach out to each other). Of course, God, Who is so good, understands ALL languages because love is the universal language, as is music to some extent (think about all those wonderful Christian hymns and songs and many other types of joy-ful music). I look forward to getting to know the students of Shatin Pui Ying College better with time and hope you can also welcome me as I get used to my new teaching as-signment.
