AIDED PROSPECTUS 2021-2022

Glorious 40 EventsSatish Pradhan Dnyanasadhana College, Thane established in the year 1980 has completed 40 years in the field of education, excellence and modernity. Our institution has developed itself in the last 40 years from a small facility into a massive educational hub and this 40th year though was marked with pandemic, the spirit of the institution continued to prevail. The institution made its foray into the area which was new to it and that was “Technology in education”. Satish Pradhan Dnyanasadhana college went full-fledged into adopting the new normal of being online and ensured that apart from academic development of students their all-round development was a must during these testing times and thus developed the unique idea of celebrating the 40th year with 40 unique programs for students, organized by the students.

In view of that, the first program was aired on 18th August 2020 simultaneously on the college YouTube and Facebook channels live. Eminent speakers from across the industry joined us on the online platform. The programs that were conducted, varied from finance to taxation, to investment, to data sciences. Programs were conducted on digital marketing to retail marketing. Best practices in HR to importance of upskilling to becoming job relevant in the market was covered.

Literature based programs like “words make worlds” to how to master story telling was also covered. Many well-known artist and theatre personalities featured as guest speakers under Glorious 40.

Marathi Bhasha Divas was celebrated by senior and junior college under the banner of Glorious 40 program. Not only were webinars planned, but also, poster making competition, quiz competitions were conducted. Also, competition like “Immortal waves of language skill” was conducted on the virtual platform to judge the recitation and elocution skills of students in three different languages namely Hindi, English and Marathi.

The team of Glorious 40 was able to make a history by planning and executing the Annual Fest of our college “UTOPIA” in the online mode and that is why this year the fest was renamed as “V-Utopia”. Intra- departmental to inter departmental and then inter-collegiate level events under “V- Utopia” became a national fest this year with students participating from colleges across India. In similar manner “INDHRADHANU” - Junior college fest - was also planned and conducted with immense & enthusiastic response from students.

S.V. Kulkarni Vyakhanmala the annual program organized by NSS every year also was conducted on the virtual platform as the last program under the banner of Glorious 40 with social entrepreneur Dr. Girish Kulkarni being the speaker for the day and weight lifting Grand Master Mr. Suhas Khamkar being the speaker for degree college.

40th program under the banner of Glorious 40 was concluded on 29th of May 2021.
