Introduction

• AED conducted M&E study for TEIP (Phase I ) in

collaboration with related MOEH departments, Related

Universities, and the M&E national experts…

• The purpose of that study was to provide qualitative

and quantitative indicators about the quality of:

Project Process.

Project Impact study.

Lesson Learned from the 1st Phase

• To start data collection at the beginning of the project.

• To finalize the M&E plan at the beginning of the project with the help of other stakeholders.

• To restructure the M&E tools based on the new (modifications of the project).

Kirkpatrick model will be adopted for this study benefiting from the process evaluation data sets .

Sample design :• Satisfaction survey: census .• Focus groups: purposeful sample but faire

representative.• Observing change in pedagogy of future teachers

(conducting classroom observations using stratified random sample ).

• Measuring for 4th graders for the observed teachers.

Study design: • A pre-post design with time series measure on “level

based” .

on cohort based .(experiment group will be sampled from cohort1,and the control will be sampled from cohort2)

The way foreword:

• Arranging field visits to collect the needed data sets

• Contracting part timers for data entry and data processing

• Developing “rubrics” to evaluate: portfolios, tests, And lesson plans.

• Formulating research teams for the aforementioned task.

Challenges:

• Readiness of trainees lists for all cohorts (Comp.II).

• Readiness of future teachers lists from all universities (Comp.I).

• Arrangements and Contact with Gaza.

• Conduct activities in Jerusalem.

• Transportations and logistics.
