Before we get started I would like to recognise the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and history of our region, and acknowledge the traditional custodians, the Ngunawal people whose ancestral lands we are meeting upon here today. I’m Corinne Wallis, the General Manager of ArrowFM, a facilities maintenance and electrical services company. Thank you all for your time today
CREATION OF ARROWFMArrowFM was the brain child of Djali Bloomfield. While working as a licensed electrician in data centres across Canberra, Djali realised that there is a gap in the market for after completion maintenance that incorporates electrical services to provide a one-stop-shop for all facilities management.
Djali approached his cousin Brendan Read, from Affinity Electrical Technologies (AET) and a partnership was created.

I’ll start by talking about the creation of ArrowFM. Djali Bloomfield is the majority owner of Arrow and sends his apologies that he cannot be here today. While working in data centres around the ACT he saw a gap in the market for after completion facilities maintenance that incorporates electrical services. He contacted his cousin Brendan Read from Affinity Electrical Technologies, a partnership was created and Arrow was born.

Everyone in the company holds an electrical licence, hence electrical services are our forte. We provide electrical services such as: tailored maintenance packages (including relamping, and testing of RCD’s, appliances, emergency lighting, and airconditioning), as well as one-off projects such as power factor correction units, isolations, upgrades and automatic doors. We have 24/7 availability and fast reaction times on call-outs.

The Arrow critical team includes Djali (founder and managing director with 6 years experience in data centres across the ACT) Brendan (Affinity founder and managing director who has developed Affinity over the last 16 years and led the way for recycling lamps in the ACT) And myself, Corinne, a manager with a technical background and over ten years experience across multiple industries. Along side these three key personnel are over 50 Affinity personnel providing back-of-house support and industry knowledge.
RECONCILIATION
ArrowFM is currently developing our RAP with assistance from Reconciliation Australia and the local Indigenous community (Ngunawal people). We are aiming to:

Our Reconciliation Action Plan has been drafted and we are in the process of tailoring and developing it further with the help of Reconciliation Australia and the Indigenous community. We are aiming to build strong relationships, engage and educate our employees and our partners, and provide meaningful opportunities for Indigenous people. Also worth noting here is the altruistic tendencies of our key personnel. Brendan is a long time supporter of Marymead, the magpies sports club and many other charitable and social groups around Canberra. And I myself have spent the first half of this year volunteering with Engineers without Borders in Timor Leste. In short, we take our corporate social responsibilities very seriously.
