FIELD OF EXPERIENCE

Oct’98 to date Pak Arab Refinery Limited Karachi, PakistanMCRP (Mid-Country Refinery Project)

1. Oct’98 - Corporate Head Office, Karachi, Pakistan.

Served independently as an Documentationist for the entire Refinery’s Technical Documentation section during the project phase. My job included printing, issuing, circulation, maintain a check and balance of original documents, updating versions of Technical Drawings and manuals of various kinds and categories pertaining to civil, building, quipment, electrical, instrument, piping, concrete e.g. Engineering manuals, Operating manuals, Maintenance manuals, Spare Parts manuals, Engineering Drawing manuals, Standard Drawing manuals, Supplier’s Drawing manuals, et cetera. These were in the forms of separate documents, binded and soft copies of various revisions for the huge workforce of the seven hundred and fifty acres of project landscape.

Being the initial stages of the project, most of the tasks were established from a grass root level e.g. record-keeping, correspondence, hiring labour on ad hoc basis, coordination with Japan Gas Company (JGC) in Japan, Marubeni Corporation and PARCO Corporate Headquarters in Karachi.

Prior to the Refinery’s commissioning, all the Technical documentation was handed over to the Engineering department.

a. Jul.’99 – I was Transferred from the Corporate Headquarters, Karachi to MCRP (Mid-Country Refinery Project) site, Mehmood Kot, Muzaffargarh District, Pakistan as a Documentation Officer.

b. Jan.’01 – I was assigned the newly installed digital telephone exchange (Alcatel 4048) on ad hoc basis to operate and provide trainings during the process of inducting local Telephone Operators. This was considering the crucial demand of multilingualed, experienced Operators and my prior experience as a Communications In Charge for The City School’s Head office, Lahore.

c. Jul.’01 – I was the first Secretary to the first General Manager (Refinery) – an Austrian national. I had planned, organized and furnished the office and residence of the GM along with facilities based on the company policies and entitlements. I had organized and structured the secretary’s office, created work procedures, filing a system, installed office equipments and served the office of the GM(R).

d. September, 2001 –Secretary to Manager Personnel & Administration.

e. Nov.’01 – Secretary to Manager Utilites & Oil Movement. I was nominated as an Area Warden as well as an ERT (Emergency Response Team) member for the HSE (Health Safety &

Environment) department. Carried out several emergency evacuations, fire fighting, life rescue drills for the refinery. Actively took part during the Turn Around of the Refinery in the year 2004 as well as 2007.

f. April, 2014 to date – Secretary to Manager Health, Safety & Environment.

In addition to my job as a Secretary, an Area Warden and ERT (Emergency Response Team) member for the HSE, the scope of my responsibilities further broadened. I remain a separate Coordinator for:

The Refinery’s HSE Improvemen Plan. This task includes correspondence, circulation, compiling, coordination, follow-up on feedback and progress of all departments within the Refinery pertaining to points for improvements planned throughout the year. Based on which I develop monthly, annual reports, presentations along with statistics accordingly.

Monthly On-Call, Rosters and Annual Leave Plans for the department.

Meetings & Minutes. This task includes organizating meeting venues, reservations, facilitating presentation medias, video-conferencing, refreshments, writing minutes of meetings, compiling points from various members, email, recording keeping, distribution, circulation up to the Managing Director.

Stationery for the department on monthly, quarterly basis. This task includes budgeting, maintaining costs, demands, issuance, recordkeeping, filing, coordination with the warehouse, transportation, et cetera.

Information Technology. This task includes recordkeeping, accountability, details, equipment demands, maintenance, servicing, resources pertaining to toners, printers, computers, laptops, Xerox machines, scanners, fax machines. Also email (Lotus) IBM Notes 9 licenced users, SAP licensed users with designation based authorizations. Coordinating with the IT department on asset tagging, budget plans, procurements, et cetera.

Housekeeping. This task includes a plethora of inspectable items some from a checklist while others based on OHAS

Trainings & Orientations. This task includes thirty nine separate modules of Safety Quarterly trainings, trainings given at various locations in the Refinery, Contractors’ trainings, Miscallaneous trainings, Orientations for new comers, internees, students, outsourced manpower, visitors, et cetera.

Correspondence and coordinating with all departments of the Refinery, caltulating, compiling, maintaining hard and soft record of all attendance sheets, its complete details pertaining to all attendees, types of trainings, preparing statistics and consolidated reports, graphs, briefings during the Safety meetings.

Carried out safety inspections of various departments and locations within the Refinery.

2. Feb’92 – Sep’98 M/s. Preservation of Cultural Heritage (Pvt.) Limited Personal Secretary of CEO (American National) & Board Member / CEO of Caleco (Pvt.) Ltd.

a. Apart from the general duties of a Secretary, I carried out additional duties pertaining to Administration, Industial Reations and Finance for the companys.

b. Prepared meeting minutes for the Company.

c. Carried out miscellaneous outdoor assignments, fund raising, created general specifications, reports and observatories for various old sites in Karachi.

d. Maintained salaries, overall expenses and budgets (inclusive of taxes) for the office as well as staff.

Company seized its function due to political happenings at Karachi, Pakistan.
