Honeybees vary amongst themselves.

Queen: Her job is to lay eggs, and to produce chemicals that guide the behaviour of the other bees.

Workers: they seek for food, build and protect the hive and clean.

Drones: Their purpose is to mate with the new queen.

By the time the queen dies, the workers will have created a new queen by feeding one of the worker females with "royal jelly” for the first days after hatching.

As a result of the difference in diet, any bee can become a queen.

Just think, Mankind will not survive the honeybees disappearance for more than 5 years.

To put it another way,  the dead of bees have a big impact on our food chain.

In addition, the economic impact that the loss of bees will have on our society is very worrisome.

Honey bee colonies are being seriously destroyed by different causes. Some of which are related to human industrial practices.

Some scientists say that possible causes could be the use of pesticides, malnutrition, loss of habitat or a combination of factors.
