Duringthisworkshop,wewillfocusonhowinquirybasedteacherscanassisttheirstudentstodevelopkeyskillsanddispositionsinrelationto:thinking,collaboration,research,self-management&communicationTheseskillsandassociateddispositionsarevitalassetsnotonlyfortheinquirylearnerbutforthe21centurycitizen.Thesearealso“assets”thatcanbebuiltacrosstheschoolday–notonlyinthecontextofa“unit”.The emphasiswill be firmly on the practical.Wewill explore not only strategies to help children developtheseimportantskillsbutalsohowtorecordandsystematicallyauditandplanfortheirinclusioninplanningandassessment.Teachersattendingthisworkshopwillwalkawaywithamuchclearerunderstandingofhowtoembed"approachestolearning"intotheirplanningandteaching.
