NaOH tan tt trong nc (1110 g/l 20 oC) v s ho tan to nhit mnh. NaOH t tan hn trong cc dung mi hucnhmethanol,ethanolNaOHrnvdungdchNaOHudhpthCO2t khng kh nn chng cn c cha trong cc thng kn. -Dung dch NaOH l mt base mnh, c tnh n da v c kh nng n mn cao.
