Monday, October 8 – Reykjavik Sightseeing Today, embark on a city sightseeing tour and take in all the city’s major attractions: Old Town Centre, Parliament, the Cathedral, Reykjavik harbour, Pearl Hofoi House, Hallgrimskirkja (Cathedral) and Harpa Concert Hall. Drive pass Árbæjarsafn Outdoor Museum, where preserved buildings offer a fascinating glimpse into Reykjavík’s past. End at the Northern Lights Centre in Reykjavik. Tuesday, October 9 – Thingvellir – Geysir – Gullfoss Drive to Thingvellir National Park (UNESCO) where the world’s oldest parliament met for centuries on the shores of Iceland’s largest lake. Then proceed to Laugarvatn Fontana, a geothermal bakery. Continue to the geothermal fields of Geysir with bubbling mud pools and high spouting Strokkur hot spring before visiting the dramatic two-tiered Gullfoss waterfall. B, D

Wednesday, October 10 – South Shore – Eyjafjallajokull Volcano Spend this day exploring the region close to the towering, strato-volcano Eyjafjallajokull. At the new LAVA Centre, see the eruption and its impact. Along the south shore, stop at the Seljalandsfoss and

Skogafoss waterfalls and Reynisfjara beach, viewing the extraordinary rock formations. Next, a guided tour around Skogar Museum, a cultural heritage collection of 15,000 regional folk craft artifacts. Note: Northern Lights viewing on foot, on one of the two evenings, conditions permitting. B, D

Thursday, October 11 – Skaftafell National Park – Jokulsarlon Glacial LagoonSkaftafell National Park is one of Iceland’s most outstanding areas of natural beauty dominated by the glacier Vatnajokull, Europe’s largest ice cap. Continue to Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon where you can enjoy a breath-taking sight of floating icebergs on the fantastic 180m deep glacial lagoon. B, D

Friday, October 12 – Hveragerdl – Blue Lagoon – Reykjavik Visit the village of Hveragerdi, often called “the flower village” because of its many greenhouses heated by hot water from nearby springs. Continue to Strandarkirkja, a church popularly believed to have a special power to aid success or provide good luck. Then drive to the Reykjanes peninsula, to enjoy a dip in the famous Blue Lagoon, a unique wonder of nature with pleasantly warm mineral rich geothermal water in a middle of a black lava field. Return to Reykjavik and enjoy a farewell dinner this evening. B, D

Friday, August 31This morning, meet our step-on guide for a tour of the historic Charlottetown. Visit the Harbour in North Rustico, travel to Prince Edward Island National Park, tour Anne of Green Gables Heritage Home and the Farmers Bank of North Rustico. And then, travel to New Glasgow. B, L

Thursday, September 6 Following breakfast, we visit the Grand-Pre National Historic Site which commemorates the Nova Scotian Acadian settlement before their deportation by the British. We now say our final goodbyes before returning home B
