In November… Fun, Sharing and Safety The month of November was busy. Preparing

and performing the Fall Program kept the teachers and children busy for the beginning of the month. All who attended enjoyed the singing, dancing and hard work of the children and teachers.

Clifford the Big Red Dog visited Head Start on November 17th in honor of Love of Reading Week. He was a hit with the children.

If you missed the Friendship Feast on November 22nd you missed a great beginning to the holiday season. The staff worked hard to provide a fantastic meal for students and family members. Thanks go especially to Stacy Moore, the Food Service Coordinator, and Maria Mortensen, the Health/Nutrition Services Manager, for the excellent food.

On Wednesday, November 30th, Head Start hosted “Contain Your Brain”. The event was sponsored by the Sweetwater County Brain Injury Support Group to emphasize the importance of wearing a helmet while bicycling to prevent brain injury. Children were provided free bicycle helmets that were measured and properly fitted to their heads. Parents received safety training from Kathy Kirlin that night.

Smiles and safety during “Contain Your Brain” helmet give away with Kathy Kirlin.
