Desert Room News! The Desert room has been very busy preparing for Christmas! Our class tree is up and twinkling. The students have been making wonderful decorations and hanging them on our tree. We are continuing with our study of letters and numbers. In the month of December we will also be learning about snow in science, opposites in math, cutting and gluing, and waiting for our turn and sharing in social emotional development. The friends in the Desert class welcome Namo and Chloe each Thursday. Who is Namo and Chloe you may be asking yourself? Well, Namo is a classroom grandma and Chloe is her dog. Each Thursday they come and read a story in our class! Chloe is dressed as a different character each week that goes along with the letter of the week. The students’ love seeing her and talking about her costumes! Another visitor we have in our classroom this month is Judy the elf. Judy is visiting us from the North Pole. She brought along a great book, Elf on the Shelf. Each day Judy sits somewhere in the classroom and watches the children. At night she flies back to the North Pole and reports back to Santa. The next day she is in a new spot in the classroom. The Desert friends have been having lots of fun whispering to Judy what they would like for Christmas hoping that she will pass the word onto Santa! Please feel free to pop in any time to see Judy for yourself and read her fun book! Thank you for sharing your children with us! We love seeing their smiles and watching their knowledge grow every day! We hope that your holiday season is filled with happiness and joy.
