Assembly designThiscapabilitysupports“top-down”and“bottom-up”assemblymodeling.Itprovidesforrapidnavigationoftheassemblyhierarchyandallowsdirectaccesstothedesignmodelofanycomponentorsubassembly.Itsupportsthe“designincontext”approachwherechangescanbemadetoadesignmodelofanycomponentwhileworkinginthecontextoftheassembly.

NXincludestoolsforbuildingandmanipulatingassemblystructures.Theuseofinter-partrelationships,suchmatingconditionsandbasicWAVElinks,enablesthecreationofparametricassemblieswhichcaptureandpreservethedesignintentwheneverchangesaremade.
