    Youmaythinkoftheroleofyourthesisstatementwith thefollowingparable.Yourgoodqualitythesisstatementfunctionslikeastreetmapforatravelerinafirsttimevisittoabigcity.Thetraveler(yourreader)wantstogettoPointA (fullandcorrectunderstandingofthewriting),butPointAisnotclearly shownonthecitystreetmap(partsofthecomposition).
