一個蘋果的故事牧職團專頁
主！祢曾因拉匝祿的死亡而落淚，
因此，祢會明白親友離世時，我們如何傷心難過。

「你們不能事奉天主，而又事奉錢財。」 ( 路16:13)
今天，我想跟大家分享「施愛」如何能夠深刻影響我們和他人的生命。我很早便知道這個道理了，其實我們時常都在不知不覺間這樣做了。我們都應該關心身邊所有人，無論是路人甲還是路人乙。但問題是，我們在現實生活中是否真的做得到呢？
今年「聖週」，在一個貧民區的短暫經歷，特別是服務低收入家庭兒童的經驗，實在令我有不少得著。這些孩子並不缺乏善心和快樂，只是他們會以另一種方式來表達，這正是我從他們身上學習得到的其中一件事情。
當日到達該區時，已是黃昏時分了。我獲得一個家庭和幾位婦女的熱烈歡迎。這是一個很懂得珍惜生命奧妙的社區，他們的熱情，令我有賓至如歸的感覺。其中一位婦人，帶同她三歲的孫女同來。當我坐下後，她們奉上茶和餅食。不久，小女孩開始哭起來，嚷著要回家。我把餅食遞給她，但她並沒有接受。忽然，我想起自己的袋中有一個蘋果，於是便取出那蘋果送了給她。她高興地接受了蘋果，並一直緊緊拿在手中。突然，她五歲大的哥哥來到，並見到妹妹手中的蘋果。他前去坐在妹妹旁邊，並用口輕輕咬了一小口蘋果。跟著妹妹也咬了一口，然後把蘋果送給哥哥，哥哥就高興地接過蘋果，飛步離開了。
在小聖堂前門的空地上，孩子們一早聚集誦唸玫瑰經，我也加入他們的行列。從妹妹那裡拿了蘋果的男孩，
就拿著蘋果來誦唸玫瑰經。當其他孩子看見他手中的蘋果時，目光便落在蘋果之上。男孩毫不猶疑跟大家分享，大家便開始每人咬一小口。孩子約有二十個，卻只有七八個可以嚐到一小口的蘋果的滋味。他們享受著美味的蘋果，吃得津津有味，吃了好一段時間。
當我坐著觀看孩子們分享蘋果的情景時，我不期然流起淚來。孩子們分享蘋果這件微不足道的事，彷彿一塊讓我哽噎的硬東西，讓我反思良多。我突然好像失去方向，不知道要如何去分析剛才所見到的情景。我為自己沒有更多蘋果來與他們分享而感到不安。同時，我也看到他們在分享一小口蘋果時，每人眼中所呈現的喜悅。小男孩願意與他人分享蘋果，令身邊其他人都得到快樂。
分享的動作、孩子間的愛心，讓我在準備度聖週時感受良多。我永遠不會忘記這美好的愛德行動，孩子之間分享喜樂，讓我上了寶貴的一課。孩子們令我明白到真愛與分享的意義。從妹妹手中取得蘋果的那位小男孩，本來是可以獨享蘋果的，但他卻選擇與人分享。
這份愛心是從那裡來的？
我們愛，因為祂先愛了我們。
我為能夠認識一位如此愛我們的天主而感到自豪，而我也在自己身邊的人身上，親身見證並感受到祂的愛。天主的愛——無條件的、白白恩賜的、我們不堪當接受的、持久的——是無論何時何地，都會給予每個人的。

堂區消息﹝一﹞張樂天神父自本堂離任張神父已於 9 月 30 日離開本堂，並於 10 月 1 日起榮任荃灣柴灣角「聖母領報堂」助理主任司鐸。
﹝二﹞堂區傳教節活動為了配合普世教會於 10 月份以「受洗與派遣：向普世傳揚基督的福音」為主題之「特殊傳教月」，本堂
定於 10 月 20 日下午舉行傳教節活動。詳情請留意彌撒堂區佈告或參閱海報。
﹝三﹞新任司鐸歡迎會谷立言神父將於 11 月 1 日到任本堂助理主任司鐸，本堂定於 11 月 3 日舉行歡迎會，詳情請留意彌撒堂

﹝四﹞明愛賣物會11 月 17 日在沙田源禾路遊樂場將舉行 2019 年度「明愛賣物會」。今年本堂之攤位由婦女會負責統籌，
除了英文團體外，也誠邀各善會團體積極參與。敬請教友入場支持，共襄善舉。

聖經生活靈修愛人如己．關愛家傭根據立法會人力事務委員會文件，截至本年三月底，本港外籍傭工人數為 391,586。這些來自不同國家，為數約四十萬的外傭，協助本地家庭料理家務和照顧長幼，對釋放本地勞動人口和經濟發展貢獻匪淺。
毫無疑問，僱主與外傭間或會因不同信仰、文化差異、語言障礙等原因而產生磨擦，甚而互不信任。近年，涉及僱傭雙方的負面新聞報道也時有所聞。生活在同一屋簷下，僱傭雙方可謂唇齒相依，唯有愛及包容，才能彼此增益，創造雙贏。
對天主徒僱主而言，善待家傭是實踐及回應聖經教導的具體行動，能把基督的愛展現在生活中。聖經經常教導我們善待外人（羅 12: 13、弟前 3: 2)，即要愛護及關懷身邊的陌生人。若把當中的「款待」或「好客」引申推展，其實居住在我們家中，因不同原因而離鄉別井的外傭，也可算是「陌生人」。因此，「善待外傭」是教友僱主們應盡之責、應行之義。
除了依時給予外傭不少於法例規定的工資、假期、
保險外，作為僱主，我們也要保證他們有足夠的食物、休息時間及安全的工作環境，而尊重她們的本土文化，並為她們提供高私隱度的獨處空間（雖然不一定是獨宿的房間），更是尊重她們的一個重要表現。若僱主經濟條件許可，在客觀環境容許下，給予外傭高於法例的工資或福利（例如容許她們每年回鄉一次）， 也會有助於增加她們的歸屬感。
一段良好的關係，離不開真切的關懷與坦誠的互動。作為僱主，你知道外傭姐姐的生日嗎？除了家鄉食物，你還知道她愛吃甚麼東西嗎？中國人常說「每逢佳節倍思親」，你又可知道她最想慶祝的是哪一個家鄉節日？外傭生病、思鄉、出現負面情緒……你願意主動關心或提出適切的支援嗎？
款待外人，實踐好客之道，可由善待外傭做起；而作為天主徒僱主，大家更應尊重與愛護家傭，以作推廣愛德的見證。

翁修女簡介新牧職團成員——翁修女
首 先， 我 希 望 向 各 位 請安，願平安、喜樂和歡愉常與你們同在。我是瑪利亞方濟各傳教修會的翁嘉雯修女。
我是在緬甸仰光加入聖方濟 各 修 院 的。2005 年，我進入初學院受訓。2007年宣發初願後，我被派往緬甸克欽邦的班茂教區服務，為期三年。在三年的服務期間，我在聖母瑪利亞幼稚園服務，也不時到堂 區 協 助 牧 民 工 作。 之後，我前往斯里蘭卡完成了一項培訓課程，並繼續另一進修課程，該課程是
專為在菲律賓的亞洲年輕修道團體而設的。在我宣發永願當日，我獲悉自己將會被派往香港服務。2016 年我抵達香港，並在中文大學進修廣東話，為期兩年。 我讚美並感謝天主讓我成為祂其中一位門徒，並恩賜我這個機會去侍奉及愛慕祂。我也代表其他人，即那些一直陪伴我走修道之路直至今天的人，衷心感謝天主。我希望我們可以合作愉快，並盡力去深化與天主的關係。願祂的臨在和啟迪，永遠都能豐盛我們的靈修旅程。最後，我希望向堂區的所有信眾，即聖母無玷之心堂區的全體教友，為你們所給予我的關懷和熱烈歡迎，致以最真誠的謝意。願主降福你們每一位！

「受洗與派遣：向普世傳揚基督的福音」

普世教會 2019 年 10 月「特殊傳教月」
教宗方濟各於 2017 年 10 月 22 日向普世教會宣布：將於 2019 年 10 月熱烈慶祝教宗本篤十五世在 1919 年 11 月 20 日所頒佈之 「夫至大」宗座牧函百週年紀念慶典。「夫至大」宗座牧函亦被稱為「傳教的大憲章」，是「普世傳教節」的起源。教宗庇護十一世於1926 年建立了「傳教節」。教宗方濟各邀請教友們掌握這機遇，重燃我們傳教之心火，教宗強調一百年前所頒佈之「夫至大牧函」仍適用於今天的教會及世界之現況。
教宗方濟各指出，梵帝岡第二屆大公會議之《教會傳教工作法令》（Ad Gentes）確定向教外傳教（missio ad gentes）是重要任務，連同教宗方濟各之「福音的喜樂」宗座勸諭「論在今日世界宣講福音」，都強調教會要投入向尚未信仰基督的人傳教，是教會的基本任務。
透過這特殊的「傳教月」慶典，教宗希望達到兩個目的：
第一，他要求普世教會及每一位教友能充分懷著喜樂及決心把傳教作為生活及工作的重心，向未認識天主的人以行動、以言語、以生活去宣講福音。
第 二， 希 望 能 更 新 及 強 化 教 友 身、 心、 靈的動力，完成「向萬民傳播福音 missio ad gentes」的使命。
教宗方濟各希望這個非比尋常的傳教月， 每名基督徒能夠：
第一，努力深化自己與耶穌的關係
第二，重新認識成聖的意義 第三，深化對教義的認識，實踐愛德
第四，重新認識聖人與殉道者
我們日常認為福傳是教會的責任，也是神職人員及修道人士的責任。以上宗座的訊息卻澄清福傳是每一位教友的責任。原因是我們各人的皈依都經過無數主內兄弟姊妹的努力，他們都跑好福傳這接力賽中屬他個人的一棒，我們才最終被引領到聖洗聖事中。我們的信德是天主藉他人給我們的恩賜，沒有信德是來自個人自己。或許，有時我們憂慮自己在福傳道路上可貢獻多少，但重要的是跑好天主交到你我手中的一棒，只要我們願意接力，總有教外朋友被引領進入聖事中。讓我們全心把一切的努力托付在天父手中，接棒吧！
期望我們都以「主，我在這裏」（香港教區傳教節 2019 主題），回應教宗的邀請。

6 「請增加我們的信德罷！」( 路 17:5)
教友分享
在聖堂遇到其他教友時，經常聽到以下這兩句話。
第一句就是：「我成日見到你喺祭台上面架！」
加入輔祭會已有一段長時間，間中都會有教友問
我：「你做輔祭要做到幾時啊？」每次我都笑說
「不知道」，因為要堅持服務一個團體，實在不
太容易。我見過有輔祭因為父母要他溫習而不准
他來參與彌撒；有輔祭因為學業而漸漸不再服務；
還有因為不同原因而離開……我有時也會想，自
己將來會不會因為小小的原因，就放棄服務呢？
小時候不太明白塔冷通比喻的意思，後來卻透過
服務多了一點明白：例如自己比較細心，所以充
當了聯絡家長的角色，提醒和通知他們有關輔祭
需要知道的事項。每人在團體內都有自己的角色
和天主給予的恩寵，即使覺得那才能微不足道，
但如果我們好好善用這份天主的禮物，在社會、
在教會服務，也就是遵照了主的旨意了。「因為
凡是有的，還要給他，叫他富裕；那沒有的，連
他所有的，也要由他手中奪去。」（瑪 25: 29）
第二句是：「你成日都笑嘅？」
教友覺得我常常都很開心，因為在聖堂遇到我時，
我都在笑。我當然也會有不開心的時候，例如高
中時因為文憑試（DSE）的緣故，因壓力而經常
生病，也很容易有負面情緒，往往一下子便感到
擔心和害怕。記得那時不管在哪裡，只要一有這
些情緒，我便會默默祈禱。祈禱讓我的心靈得到
平靜，即使只是唸了一遍天主經、一遍聖母經，
心情也會平復不少。後來又慢慢懂得如何調適自
己的想法，在溫習和休息之間找到平衡。正如聖
經所載：「我賴加強我力量的那位，能應付一切。」
（斐 4:13）
雖然我仍是一個學生，但同時也有一份補習社的
兼職。每年補習社的暑期班都十分忙碌，今年也
不例外。有一次需要準備的教材比較多，我就把
部分工作帶回家處理。本來第二天約好了跟家人
和朋友一起到澳門遊玩的，但因為發覺將會準備
不及，所以打算放棄行程，留在家中。到第二天，
爸媽出發前勸我再考慮一下，當時看著他們帶點
期待的眼神，便立刻感到很抱歉了。因為早先答
應了他們，現在卻要失約，實在有點那個。所以
最後還是照原定計劃，跟大家一起去了。不過，
我也把教材帶了過去，就趁坐船和空閒的時間急
忙完成。雖然不是每種職業，或者每次情況，
都能幸運地兼顧家庭和工作，不過十誡提醒我們，
天主除了要我們愛祂之外，也要我們孝敬父母。
因此，我們千萬不要忽略和家人相處的時間啊！
我深信只要妥善分配好時間，信仰生活、家庭生
活、學業工作是可以同時兼容的。

恩主教書院
天主教聖母聖心小學在新一學年，舉行了開學禮
及開學彌撒。九月二日的開學禮由劉偉傑校長主
持，他以耶穌治好十個癩病人的故事，勉勵同學
在新學年學習感恩。他說：「故事中耶穌醫治了
十個人，但只有一個回來感謝他。這教我們不要
忘記天主時常對我們的各種恩寵。」除了感謝天
主的慈愛，劉校長也希望同學多留意身邊的家人
朋友給我們的幫助及鼓勵，他們因著愛，為同學
不斷無私付出，這都值得以同樣的愛去回應。
另外，學校又邀請了張樂天神父在九月六日為五、
六年級同學主持開學彌撒。張神父在講道中藉聖
保祿的說話，提醒同學學習的真正意義。張神父
說：「聖保祿在書信中表示一切都是藉著天主，
是要我們事事都要以天主作方向。」他補充說：
「如果我們做人行事不是以天主及祂的愛作為目
標，即使我們成績多好、獲得多少獎項，一切都
變得沒有意義。」之後，張神父降福所有在場同
學，祈求天主使他們更認真學習、共以誠懇的服
務來回應天主的召叫，善度新學年。

本校於九月二日舉行了開學感恩祭，邀請張樂天
神父主禮。新學年主題為「謙恭包容、關愛家
庭」，我校同學於聖母無玷之心堂一起為香港社
會——我們的大家庭的和平祈禱。張神父提醒我
們要懂得天主教教育的核心價值：愛德、生命、
真理、義德和家庭，善用天主予我們各人的恩賜，
在生活中盡本份，豐富自己的生命。校長致勉辭
時，與學生分享「方濟各祈禱文」，因著愛，我
們需要效法聖人的榜樣，為社會帶來希望和光明。

「如果我們與衪同死，也必與衪同生。」( 弟後 2:11)
母親的呼喚（聖母故居）善會信仰小品
在土耳其一直流傳著聖母晚年來到厄弗所居住的說法。位於亞細亞的愛琴海岸。是當時耶穌的愛徒若望伴同她到這裡隱居和避世。他還照顧聖母安然離去。其實聖若望宗徒都曾經在此傳教活動過。若望在晚年時，也被迫充軍留在帕特摩島。為基督作證，並寫下默示錄一書（默 1:9）。
耶穌命他寫了七封信送給七個教會說：「將你所聽見的寫在書上，送到厄弗所、斯米納、培爾加摩、提雅提辣、撒爾德、非拉德非雅、勞狄刻雅七個教會。」（默 1:11）
當耶穌被釘在十字架上，而在旁立著的有自己的母親瑪利亞同愛徒若望。就對母親說：「女人，看，你的兒子！」又對那門徒說：「看，你的母親！」就從那時起，那門徒把她接到自己家裡 （若 19: 26-27）。
歷史得知，當時的女性地位低微；需要依從家中的男士如父親、丈夫或兒子才可過活。耶穌有見及此，將自己的母親瑪利亞交託給祂的愛徒若望來供養。從那一刻起，若望成了聖母的兒子，聖母也是我們教會的母親，稱為「教會之母」。
有一位德國藉的修女在神視中清楚見到聖母之家。在山上不但找到聖母的墳墓，還有一座小石屋的遺蹟。聖母故居，環境清靜優雅；綠樹成蔭。現在是一間小聖堂給來自東西方的朝聖者在這裏祈禱和默想，是一個靈修的好地方。在這小聖堂內安放了一尊斷掌的聖母像，非常特別。原來是以前被人破壞了的真實面貌，即使受損，也無損聖母對人類的慈愛！她是旅途教會的明燈；導引信眾跟隨基督。她還邀請我們做她的好幫手，好兒女！為信仰合一！為世界和平！為罪人悔改而熱心祈禱！更求聖母幫助我們熱愛基督的身體「教會」，並獻出愛德的服務！

「關社組三十週年紀念」我們堂區的關社組既然都經歷過三十年了，那就
分享一下關社組的歷史吧！
開始的時候，還未成立關社組，只是與老人探訪服務組合作。未幾，有神父建議成立關社組， 初期以愛德服務為主流，後來又增添了社會服務組和社會事務組。
除了探訪長者外，關社組也探訪醫院、安老院舍、輕度智障人士宿舍等，也協助救世軍實踐服務。除了愛德服務之外，關社組也與正義和平委員會和勞工事務委員會合作，參與的社會事務相繼增多 , 走出堂區，為社會不公義和弱勢社群發聲， 彰顯正義和發揚天主的愛，當中曾參與的有：
1. 屋宇署拆荃灣天台屋，居民遭受迫遷，無家可歸。關社組一行數人，聯同其他堂區共約十多二十人，一起前往探望露宿者。2. 七一大遊行：在聖堂門口協助售賣抗爭 T 恤。3. 八九民運六四後，最初幾年都牽頭帶領教友到維園出席六四悼念晚會。4. 為工人權益：關注社會上的勞工問題，參與相關的社會活動。5. 大埔關社東北鐸區關社聯席成員，每年聖誕節都會召集不同堂區的教友，在整個鐸區，包括大埔、沙田、大圍、馬鞍山，報佳音傳喜訊。
我們又回應了天主教勞工事務委員會的邀請，成為「五一證道」小組的一份子，每年召集不同堂區的教友，參與兩至三次的證道培訓後，於紀念工人的五一勞動節日，在彌撒中上到台前證道，
道出工作的真正意義及價值，反省在工作處境中
所遇到的困難，也為工人祈禱，祈求他們在工作
上所付出的勞力，能獲得合理的報酬。
最後，因著我們多年的服務，得到教友認同和慷
慨支持，得以每月一次探訪區內的低收入清潔
工，和收集紙皮變賣的長者。雖然他們得到的，
只是一個盒飯和微薄禮物，或者一聲溫暖的慰
問，但已讓他們覺得受尊重。同時，這也是我們
福傳的好時機。我們不會忘記主耶穌基督說過的：
「服務弱小的就是為我所做。」

你們該多多為罪人祈禱，作犧牲，許多靈魂下地獄是由於沒有人為他
們作犧牲及祈禱。
路濟亞修女是三個孩子中年紀最大的，
她於 2005 年離世了。她一生奉獻給天主，並為我們轉述聖母媽媽要
對我們說的話。
第 一 次 世 界 大 戰 期 間
(1914-1918)，和平似是遙遙無期。1917 年，聖母在葡萄牙花地瑪顯現給三位牧童：真福方濟各、真福雅仙達和路濟亞。

主禮應站立在信友面前，帶領祈禱，並在聆聽聖
言時，與信眾一起坐下。因此，主禮的座位不適
宜像寶座，高高在上，又或消失於信眾之中；相
反，應恰如其份，是團體的一份子，同時也是信
友團體的領導。
The celebrant officiating at the ceremony should stand in front of the congregation, leading the prayers. He should sit with the congregation while listening to the Words of God. Hence, the seat of the priest should not be made like a throne high up above the others, or disappear among the congregation. On the contrary, it should play its role as part of the community and at the same time be the leader in the community.
The Priest: On the day before he was to suffer, he took bread in his holy and venerable hands, He raises his eyes. And with eyes raised to heaven to you, O God, his almighty Father, giving you thanks he said the blessing, broke the bread and gave it to his disciples, saying:TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND EAT OF IT, FOR THIS IS MY BODY, WHICH WILL BE GIVEN UP FOR YOU.

和平」的內容。
（一）天主與和平
和平是一種天主的屬性，其次才是人類的一項任務。
暴力、分裂、流血是人類歷史的特徵，世間缺乏和平，
是天主和人類之間的合一已然崩解的徵兆。耶穌基督是
「我們的和平」（弗 2: 14）。舊約先知預言：一位
強大的彌賽亞會到來，並將成為「和平之王」（依9: 5）。
基督徒相信耶穌基督是新世界開始的偉大標記，祂打擊
一切分歧的根源，將人類從罪惡的奴役中解救出來，是
和平基礎的締造者。通過十字架上的聖死，耶穌基督
達成人與天主的和解，拆除阻隔在人與人之間的敵意
之牆（弗 2: 14-16）。
（二）基督徒與和平
那些不反擊、不復仇、不使用暴力的人，見證了耶穌
基督所帶來和平。以言語和切實行動去分享和平的福音，
就創造了真正的和平。和平雖然美好，但卻非常脆弱，
它需要日復一日地修復。只有當基督徒和非基督徒都
認識到人人都應對和好、正義、善意的生活負責時，
和平才會持久。基督徒可以透過祈禱、聆聽天主聖言，
找到自己內在與外在的和平。參與聖事也同樣重要，
尤其是告解能帶來真正的平安。當人邁出第一步，在
真正的愛德中接觸近人，也會獲得內在的和平。只有
原諒與和好，才能構築和諧共存的生活。「有人打你的
面頰，把另一面也轉給他」（路 6: 29）。基督徒的
平安會擴散到家庭、朋友圈，甚至整個社會。
（三）如何達至和平？
和平是秩序中的平靜安穩，更是天主良善秩序內的幸福，
這樣的和平才是我們的目標。在正義與愛的和平之路上，
有那些忠實真誠地尋求真理、關注幸福、以正義維護
同胞、為同胞奉獻無私之愛的人與我們同行。「我把
平安留給你們，我將我的平安賜給你們；我所賜給
你們的，不像世界所賜的一樣。」（若 14: 27）基督
的平安是十字架上的愛。「你們是因祂的創傷而獲得了
痊癒」（伯前2: 24）。哪裡有基督徒，哪裡就應有和平。
寬恕並不是不在乎已經發生的邪惡，也明白不能將之
刪除，寬恕意味著讓天主做主，「是祂赦免了你的各
種愆尤，是祂治癒了你的一切病苦。」（詠 103: 3）
有天主幫助，人才有力量去原諒。任何行動之前，教會
首先會為和平祈禱。基督徒相信祈禱具有改變世界的
力量，祈禱是基督徒致力於和平的重要力量之源。
（四）暴力之源
戰爭源於人們相互之間長期以來的仇恨、意識形態的
分歧、個人的欲望、群體之間權力與財富的糾紛。然而，
出於絕望，人們也會訴諸戰爭和暴力——例如當他們
缺乏政治權利，或者遭受飢餓、貧苦、壓迫或其他不義。
當少數富人的生活犧牲多數窮人的利益時，這種不公
往往也會引發暴力。以暴力鎮壓衝突無法達致和平。
暴力往往是由謊言和不公引起的，不正義的結構一再
導致剝削與痛苦。暴力抵抗正正表達了缺乏參與和自由
被剝奪。只有構建以公正為準則的自由社會，人人都
有發展的前景，才能達致長期的和平。軍人也有義務
不服從違反國際法的命令。例如，軍人永遠不能槍擊
平民或戰俘，即使上級長官命令他這樣做也不行。在
這種情況下，他不能以「我服從命令」為藉口，他必須
為自己的行為負責。不論任何情況，都要保護那些無力
自保的受害者。這也適用於一般平民。

Have you ever wonder what the Social Concern Group is and how they serve the community? Social Concern Group is one of the eight core groups under our Church’s Service Ministries and Groups. To find out more about it, it is our pleasure to have Rosita Manangbao once again, one of the committee members of the Social Concern Group, to walk us through how the Group serves our God.
ON SOCIAL CONCERN GROUP Established in 2007, Rosita has been serving in the Social Concern committee for English community for almost twelve years now. They have been working closely with the Chinese Community Social Concern Group since. Rosita and her committee members would motivate and invite members of the English and Chinese community to participate in these organized parish events. This joint effort of both Chinese and English communities also facilitates the bonding and cultivates a sense of unity in our Church.
The Social Concern Group members actively participate in activities both outside and in the Church. For outreach program, they visit elderly home, hospitals and orphanages regularly, especially during festivals such as Christmas, Easter, Mid-Autumn festival, Father’s and Mother’s Day. All the visits gained the permission from our parish priest. The Group usually served around fifty to hundred people per visit depending on the places and venues they were allowed to visit. With different talents, the Group would entertain different audiences through various performances including singing, dancing, magic show and martial show (Kung Fu and Taekwondo). Furthermore, the Group would organize fund raising for those who had financial difficulties due to sickness or families which were affected by calamities like typhoon and flooding.
As for serving in the church, the Social Concern Group would assign and take turns in hosting monthly birthday celebration, annual pilgrimage and Christmas party, cleaning the tea room and leading the holy rosary every third Sunday of each month.
ON PERSONAL NOTEFor Rosita, she has the heart to serve those who are in need. She joined the team because she found joy in serving others by using the gifts that God bestowed on her.
Rosita experienced a flood of love during their performances in those visits. She felt God’s love and His mercy moved among them. Rosita believes that love is contagious. Through prayers and offering herself in serving those who are in need help her and the team stay connected to our Lord. Rosita saw how happy the audiences were and they would even join in clapping their hands, singing along and dancing with them. Once during a Christmas Caroling, Rosita witnessed how the audience members were in tears of joy as she believed they were moved by the Christmas spirit. Though it was only a short moment to be with them, Rosita was told that the audience appreciated the team’s presence and the efforts to cheer up their lonely hearts.
To her, Social Concern Group is Rosita’s family here in Hong Kong, a home away from home. They serve together, pray together, share joy and sorrow, know each other’s weaknesses and strengths and they comfort each other. They have been through a lot together in which a strong bond has been forged. To Rosita, they are like real sisters to her. In the upcoming days, they will continue serving with the strength and power from our Lord.
FINALLY, HOW TO JOIN? For those who are interested in joining the Social Concern Group, Rosita states that one needs to be a Catholic who has attended confirmation. If one is married, one needed to be married in a Catholic Church. If one doesn’t fulfill the above mentioned criteria but is very interested in joining the serving team, Rosita suggested one to speak with our priests. One would then be baptized and could join the catechism to receive confirmation. As one of the interviewees, Rosita states that there were five members who went through this process in order to serve and they are now the active members in our Church.

SHARING ON THE HOLY ROSARY
The Holy Rosary is a powerful tool and weapon to defeat evil. Our Blessed Mary in heaven herself asked us to commune with her son Jesus Christ when we pray the holy rosary. Praying the Holy Rosary also helps us very much in spiritual healing.
Prayer helps my spiritual life when I discover God by reading the Bible. Prayer also helps me communicate with God constantly,
mostly for guidance and thanksgiving for all the things He has done for me. Amen.

The Holy Rosary is important for me because it reminds me of the life and passion of Jesus Christ our Savior. For me, it is a devotion which I need in my life, it is sacred and binds us with peace, love, hope and unity. The Holy Rosary is the answer to all the problems and difficulties in my life. It is a powerful weapon when facing trials. It gives us miracles especially in times of great need and desperate cases that I have encountered
myself.
Prayer helps me in my spiritual life to be stronger and patient. It gives me hope, joy, love and peace of mind. I have strong faith and this makes me humble in serving God and my fellowmen. I know that every sincere prayer will be answered in the best way by our Lord Jesus Christ. Through prayer, nothing is impossible with God. Everything is possible with Him. Amen. Amen!!!

I hold in my heart the praying of the Holy Rosary as something very important in my daily life. I don’t feel complete without praying the Holy Rosary. It's like food for our body because praying expands our soul and our mind’s consciousness which is a basic foundation for true inner healing and the manifestation of God’s presence. Only God's love and grace makes this possible. He knows our needs and every day and every moment we have to ourselves is made possible only by God’s love and grace.
Prayer helped in my spiritual life. My relationship with God wasn’t strong before but now it’s stronger than ever. For me, going to Saturday masses, being a Choir member and praying the rosary daily before going to bed were not enough. I remember God whenever I encounter difficulties or when I am experiencing happiness. I realize that my relationship with God affects my relationship with myself, my friends and my family. When I became a member of the Legion of Mary (LOM), I realized that God was the most important being in my life and that without God I am nothing. Perhaps this is one reason why I became a member of the Legion Of Mary, to help people to have faith in God, to love Him and adore Him. I now pay attention on how He draws me closer to Him.
Thank you Lord for every single moment of my life.

Why is praying the Holy Rosary so important? How does prayer help me in my spiritual life?
MEETSISTER MONICAFirst of all, I would like to send my greetings that peace, joy and happiness be upon each one of you always! I am Sr. Monica Zung Men ( 翁嘉雯修女 ), FMM. I belong to the Congregation of Franciscan Missionaries of Mary. I joined the Congregation in St. Francis Convent Yangon, Myanmar. In 2005, I entered the Novitiate. After professing my temporary vows in 2007, I was assigned to the Diocese of Ban maw, Kachin State in Myanmar for three years. During my three years of service, I worked in the Ave Maria Kindergarten School and I sometimes helped in the Parish. I went to Sri Lanka for a formation course and continued another course which was for the Asian Young Religious group in the Philippines. The day I professed my perpetual vows, I learned
that I would be sent to Hong Kong. I came to Hong Kong in 2016 and studied Cantonese in the Chinese University for two years. I praise and thank God for allowing me to be one of His disciples and granting me this opportunity to serve and love Him. I am very grateful to God for the people, those who have been accompanying me in this journey till today. I hope that we all can work together and make effort in deepening our relationship with God. May His presence and inspiration be always to enrich our spiritual journey. Finally, I would like to express my sincere thank to all the parishioners in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, for your love and warm welcome. May God bless you all!

I’ve been serving in the Sunday School group for the last 9 years. Catechism occupies a major role. We teach children about the meaning of life. We speak the truth about God, faith and good moral values. Sharing faith is an honor. By teaching the young generation about the Good News, you are fulfilling the Great Commandment. It is the most important thing we will ever do.
The best way to learn is to teach. We are all called to continue to grow in our faith, and the best way is to teach. When we instruct the others, our own understanding increases. Being a catechist helps refresh and expand my own knowledge.

I am married to a Hongkong Chinese and a mother of two boys. Sister Maria So encouraged me to join the Sunday School. At first, I was reluctant due to my busy schedule. It was the Holy Spirit that gave me the strength to say
‘yes’ when asked the third time, so I joined in September 2016.
It is very important to let children know that God is Love, our Creator and the Saviour of the world.
Since I joined the Sunday School, my faith has strengthened and my knowledge about God has increased. Thanks to the Sunday School. May God bless us all.

The above verses are self-explanatory. God has chosen me to bring children to His arms. If children live in the love of God, they learn to share love. It is my pleasure to spread the gospel of God.
Teaching is a mutual relationship between teachers and students. As their teacher, I can learn from them their trusting, child-like faith in God.

Teaching Sunday School is important to me because I can become an instrument to let the children know more about Jesus. It helps me to learn more and get closer to God. Being a Catechist, we give our time to the students and we are happy to pass the
Catholic Faith to them. I feel very lucky to be able to serve through Sunday School as this is a gift from God. We, as a Catechist and a servant of the Lord, share our faith with the children.

This is my 3rd year in Sunday School serving as a catechist. The service helps me to grow spiritually and improve my self-confidence. I am happy to teach the children and share with them what I have learned as an Altar Server in the Parish.

It enables pupils to consider and respond to a range of important questions in relation to their own spiritual development, the development of their values and attitudes, and the fundamental questions regarding the meaning and purpose of life.

AN APPLE
Today, I would like to share with you all how sharing with love can influence and leave a deep impact in our lives and the lives of others. I knew it before and sometimes or other we have been doing it too. We need to care about everyone, this person or that one. But the question is, are we actually doing so in reality?
My short experience of “Holy week” this year in one of the poor areas has taught me many things---especially working with the kids coming from low-income families. One thing I learnt from them is that these kids do not lack kindness and happiness, they just show it differently.
The day I reached the place it was almost evening; I was warmly welcomed by a family with a few other women. This gesture made me feel quite at home in this community which knows how to value the wonders of life. One of the women accompanied her granddaughter who was 3 years old. As I sat down, I was served with tea and some biscuits. After a while, the little girl began to cry telling her grandmother that she wanted to go home. I gave the biscuit to this little girl but she did not take it. Then I remembered I had an apple in my bag, so, I took the apple and gave it to the little girl. She was very happy to receive the apple and she kept holding it. Suddenly, her elder brother who was about 5 years old came in and saw the apple in the hand of his younger sister. He went and sat next to her and took a small bite of the apple from the hand of his little sister. The sister also took a small bite and then gave the apple to her brother who then took it gladly and ran out.
In front of the small chapel outside, the children had already gathered to pray the rosary and I too joined them. The little boy came with the apple in his hand for the rosary. When the other children saw the apple, all their eyes were on it. The little boy did not hesitate to
share it with them. Each child started to take a small bite of the apple. There were around 20 children and almost 7 to 8 of them could take a bite each and this went on for quite some time and they were quite happy to taste a bit of that apple.
As I sat and watched the scene of this sharing of the apple among the children, it brought tears to my eyes. I felt a hard lump in my throat and made me to reflect a lot on this small act of sharing among the children. I was lost in thoughts to analyse what I had just witnessed. I felt sorry that I did not have more apples to share with them; but at the same time, I saw the joy in each one of their eyes as they shared a bite each from that apple. The readiness of that little boy to share brought joy to others around him.
That act of sharing and love among the children brought me more meaning as I was preparing to celebrate the Holy week. I can never forget this beautiful act of love that taught me the lesson of the joy of sharing among the kids. The kids just showed me what true love and sharing mean. The little boy who got the apple from his sister could have eaten the apple by himself, but he chose to share it with others.
Where does this kind of love come from? We love because He loved us first.
I am content to know that there exists a God who already loves us so much, and I see, witness and feel his love through people. And God’s love – that is unconditional, gratuitous, undeserved and everlasting is available to anyone, anywhere, anytime.
