1.  The STRETCH command used in AutoCAD allows the CAD operator to stretch the shape of an object without affecting other crucial parts.  In the CAD drawing below, the object’s length will be enlarged        ( stretched ) by twice the distance between the center lines of the holes A and B.  Determine the new overall length resulting from this operation. 

       

2.  Using the CAD drawing below, find the dimensions A and B, plus the overall height and width. 

     

3.  Determine the perimeter of the CAD drawing below if the grid spacing is 7/16‐inch. 

   

4.  A machinist uses a lathe to turn down a 31/64” diameter shaft from a 9/16” diameter piece of round stock.  Find, in inches, the difference is the diameters.  Express your answer as a decimal. 

 

 

 

5.  Using the CAD drawing and the dimensions provided, find the overall height and width. 

 

     

 

6.  A CAD drafter needs to determine her gross pay, taxable pay, and withholding tax for the previous week.  Withholding tax is 28.0% and is calculated on the taxable pay which is figured from the gross pay, minus any deductions.  She worked 32 hours at a rate of $22.50 and has one dependent (‐$50.00).  Determine the following three items.
