CORPORATEThere is no compromise when it comes to your comfort. An extremely smooth and quiet ride
is just one o the things you will notice in the 4 29. The large cabin is easily customized or
luxurious amenities and the spacious seats p rovide ample legroom and comort that makes any
trip enjoyable. The large baggage area can easily accommodate both luggage and gol clubs.
Whether maximizing your travel time working through papers, or just taking a ew minutes to
relax and regroup, the 429 provides the right mission environment.
HEMS
Truly an aircrat designed with the HEMS market in mind. The deck height matches litter height
and allows one-man litter loading without liting or back strain through either side or optional
at clamshell doors. The largest cabin in its class and structural at oor aords tremendous
mission-to-mission exibility. Once congured, the large cabin allows ull b ody access, optimizing patient care. The ability to carry two litters with both attendants at the head creates
a more efcient medical environment. Visibility is improved or both the crew and the patient
through the large windows that oer excellent eld o view and ambient patient lighting. And
with 150kts/278kph cruise speed, the 429 minimizes time en route so the patient arrives at the
medical facility quicker than ever.
OIL & GAS
Travelling to oshore oil platorms can be tedious and treacherous, so saety and comort
were at the forefront of the 429 design. Certied to the latest JAR OPS requirements, SPIFR and
Cat A in all proles, the 42 9 oers outstanding perormance, setting new standards or light
twin helicopters. The 429s otation system has been d esigned rom the outset to meet the
requirements for ditching certication for those operators who require ditching certication.
Float kits are available with or without integrated life rafts. Raft equipped otation systems
eature an integral assembly, with rats and oats contained together or better operational
exibility. Less obvious is the technology incorporated into protecting the 429s airrame
and components rom the ravages o sea spray and salty air. Extensive use o epoxy coatings,
sealed seams and composite materials reduces maintenance and increases op erational lie or
maximum return on investment.
PARAPUBLIC
Fast, agile, smooth and quiet, the 429 reduces response time and crew fatigue while expanding
an agencys mission capabilities. Exceptional cabin volume, large cabin doors and optional rearclamshell doors easily accommodate special mission equipment, tactical deployments or hoist
operations. An optional external cargo hook rated to 3,000lbs/1, 361kg provides added utility
when required, while an optional hoist certied for human cargo further extends capabilities.
Even the tallest crew member wearing an NVG equipped helmet is comfortable ying the 429
thanks to best in class cabin volume and ully adjustable seats and pedals. Coupled with a
ully integrated glass cockpit, with options that include moving maps, FLIR imagery and NVG
capability, the 429 delivers the complete multi-role Parapublic package.
Bell 429 Technical SpecifcationsThe only light twin designed in the 21st century or your evolving mission requirements.

Superior High Hot Perormance
Innovative rotor blades, powerul engines and a strong transmission
combine to provide a new level o perormance at all altitudes and
temperatures. At high heat and maximum gross weight, the 429
can perorm an OGE hover at 7,900 t / 2,408 m; IGE hover at over
10,000 t / 3,048 m, and engage in takeo and landing operations in excess
o 14,000 t / 4,267 m.
Cabin & Cockpit Comort
Comort doesnt take a backseat to perormance in the 429.
The largest passenger cabin provides excellent headroom
so the passengers can relax in a smooth and extremely
quiet ride. The large windows provide greater visibility
creating an unsurpassed ight experience.
Clamshell Doors
Optional clamshell doors provide additional
ingress and egress options or your mission
exibility. The uniquely designed doors
hug the fuselageduring opening and
are easily opened with one hand.
When opened, the doors provide
a sae work zone around the
rear o the helicopter.
Rugged Construction
Designed rom the outset as a 21st
century airrame, the 429 utilizes an
ultra-rigid machined alloy airrame
with composite external skins, sharing
construction characteristics more commonly
ound in the most advanced military jets.
The result is a spacious, rigid airrame with
exceptional resistance to atigue and
adverse environmental conditions.
Economic Twin Perormance
Equipped with two proven Pratt & Whitney Canada 207D1/D2 engines, the 429 p
superior Category A perormance, outstanding hover perormance and cruise sp
economic costs. Saety is enhanced by a 30 second OEI o 5 44kW (729shp), a 2 m
o 523kW (701shp), and an impressive continuous OEI o 488kW (655shp). Electr
controls are pilot riendly and operationally simple with a ull hydro-mechanical
auto-starting. Backed by the industry leader in aftermarket support, these engine
no special tools for line maintenance and have quick access to Line Replaceable
(LRUs) or ast removal/installation.
World-Class Customer Support and Training
One o the best parts o operating a Bell helicopter is the renowned network o worldwide
support and service that comes with it. With a signicant 429 parts inventory pre-
positioned at global supply centers, p lus training and technical personnel ready to
answer your questions and provide the support you need in the eld, Bell is committed to
providing you with the best products backed by the best service in the industry.
To urther compliment our support, a comprehensive set o 429 pilot and maintainer
courses are available through the world class Bell Training Academy. Maintainers will have
the advantage o learning on an actual 429, ensuring a relevant and eective training
experience. Pilots will appreciate a suite o customized course materials, complimented
by a sophisticated Flight Training Device, and concluding with ight instruction in a Bell
Training Academy operated 429. The Bell Training Academy also understands that the
right training is just as important as comprehensive training, so your 429 instruction can
be custom tailored to meet your specic goals and training requirements.
Single Pilot IFR Certifed
Situational awareness is maximized and pilot workload is minimized through a ully
integrated glass cockpit eaturing modern large ormat at panel displays and an OEM
designed advanced automatic ight control system. This advanced design provides
single pilot IFR certication or the standard helicopter and Dual and Single Pilot IFR
certication when the co-pilot controls and instruments are add ed. Easily congured
to display pertinent customized inormation, advanced sotware perorms calculations
including IGE, OGE, Cat A p roles, weight and balance, power assurance checks and
incorporates sel diagnostics and excedence monitoring.
Outstanding OEI Perormance
No matter the situation, the 429s powerul engines and high OEI rated transmission
provide superior single engine perormance. Certied or Category A operations rom
ground level helipads, elevated helipads, runways at maximum gross weight, on hot
days and at altitude means no mission or operating environment is beyond your reach.
Designed with the future in mind, the 429 meets or exceeds
todays airworthiness requirements to enhance occupant
safety, but has the adaptability to remain at the forefront
as missions and applications evolve. The light twin 429
delivers innovation after innovation.
The usage of metallic and composite parts in its
construction creates the perfect balance between rigidity
and exibility, safety and durability. An advanced avionics
and systems monitoring suite ensures outstanding
maintainability and aircraft readiness. Coupled with
exceptional construction and attention to detail, the
429 is truly unsurpassed in its class.
