1-8 - We are learning how to sing songs and perform as a class and year group -.I am able to learn lyrics from memory -I canperform with confidence - I cansing with a sense of style and expression (ex- I can lead group performances, take solo roles and maybe even be a presenter in the performance)

- Pupils will spend this topic learning given songs from memory for their performance. They will be expected to perform with confidence giving special consideration to lyrics and expression. Teachers will help students sing musically and will encourage pupils to learn lyrics and develop a sense of stage presence. Some more able pupils will perform as part of a small ensemble or as a soloist. Talented musicians who sing will be encouraged to perform solos as a confidence builder. Emphasis will be placed of developing pupils collaborative skills as the concert will rely on everyone working together.
