PLANT: Manufacturing facility, warehouse, or location that stocks, manages, and valuates inventory Usually a physical site Assigned to a company code One or more purchasing organizations assigned to plant Materials defined at plant level Usage:
1. MM procures materials to plant2. PM maintains facilities at plant3. PP produces products at plant4. SD sells products from plant

4. Next step Go to define Plant
5. Enter Plant no. and change the name
6. Go to Address icon on top f menu path to enter all the details
7. After entering all the details click on Save
PURCHASE ORGANIZATION: Responsible for procurement for one or more plants Responsible for negotiating pricing and delivery terms Assigned to a company code where inventory is legally tracked or costs are legally incurred
(except for floating purch. org.) Vendors defined at purchasing organization level Two typical configurations: One purchasing organization for each company One purchasing organization for each plant
8. Menu path for Purchase Org.
9. Click on copy as option and select the purch. org from which we want to copy
10. Change the details of copied Purchase Org.
11. Click on save.
STORAGE LOCATTION: Location within a plant where inventory is stored Usage: A physical storage place at plant Grouping of materials in types or classes
12. Create Storage location for the created Plant:P001
13. Enter Plant
14. Copy as storage location
15. Click on New Entries and define storage location
16. save
17. Assign Plant to Company Code
Company code is automatically assigned to plant as we are copying plant, so all the data gets copied.
18. Assign Purchase Org. to Company Code
19. Assign Purchase Org. to Plant
Click on new entries to define Purch. Org for Plant P001
PURCHASING GROUP: Corresponds to individual purchasers or group of purchasers A purchasing organization contains one or several purchasing groups
20. Create Purchasing Group
Enter Purchasing Group
