Introduction

A practicum is a collage course, often in a specialized field of study, that is

designed to give students supervised practical application of a previously or

concurrently studied theory. Practicum is common for education and social work

majors.

It is a big help for the students to have an idea of being in a real world of

professions. Where they will understand and learn each and every step to do.

The goal is for them to think about what they should do in the future. And

help them explore what they may actually be interested in order to have an idea of

what they may want to pursue and work harder to achieve their goals. Even if they

may not be sure of what they want to do, this will make them start thinking and have

them understand that even if they may not be sure of what they intend to do they

must still work hard in order to insure their success for whatever it may be.

HISTORY

1976 - Pingakaloob ng LWUA(Local Water Administration) sa Hagonoy Water

District(HWD) abg Conditional Certificate No. 31. Ito ang pinakaunang water

district sa Bulacan. Ang tanggapan nito ay sa pumping station na ginawang opisina

sa lupain ng pamahalaang bayan ng Hgonoy sa Poblacion, Sto. Nino.

1977 - Enero, nagsimulang maglingkod sa mamayan ng Hagonoy ang HWD. Si Inh.

Antonio Santos ang naging unang pangkahalatang tagapamahala nito. Ang mga

unang patnugutan ay ang mga sumusunod, G. Wilhelmino M. Sy Alvarado, G.

Carlos Clemente, G. Arthur Garcia, Gng. Elisea B. Joson, at Dr. Gabriel R. Morales.

1999 - Lumipat ang tanggapan ng HWD sa ikalawang palapag ng Puso ng Hagonoy

Mall na pag-aari ng pamilya ng kasalukuyang Punong Bayan Angel L. Cruz Jr.

2000 - nakapagbigay ng 100 poryenstong serbisyo ang HWD sa 24 na barangay ng

bayang Hgonoy. Malaking ambag sa katuparang ng pangarap na ito ay ang

paglalaan ni noon ay Senador Blas F. Ople, anak ng hagunoy, ng kanyang

"countrywide development fund."

2003 - Upang mapaglingkuran ng mas mabuti ang mga "concessionaires" at

matugunan ang pangangailangang pang adminastribo ay nangupahan ang HWD sa

dating gusali ng Rural Bank of San Miguel na pag-aari ng pamilya Pangniban sa

Poblacion, Sto. Nino

Nakarating din ang paglilingkod ng HWD sa 2 barangay sa kalapit na bayang

Paombong.

2007 - Sinimulang ipatayo ang gusali ng HWD sa sarili nitong lupa na nabili mula

sa pamilya Marucot sa daang G. Panganiban, Sto. Nino, Hagonoy Bulacan.

2008 - Ika-9 ng Hunyo ay pinasinayaan ang apat na palapag na gusali. Kung saan

matatagpuan sa ikatlong palapag ang punong tanggapan ng HWD. Tanda ng patuloy

na pagpapalawak ng pagsisilbi ng Padaluyang Tubig ng Hagunoy sa mga

mamamayan nito.

Ipinangalanan itong Gusaling Ka Blas Ople at nagbukas ng museo at aklatan sa

alaala ni Blas F. Ople, bilang pagkilala sa ambag niya sa pagsasakatuparan ng

pangarap nitong paglilingkod sa bayan ng Hagunoy.

To retain the current water rates of Hagonoy Water District up to 2011

without sacrificing the quality of service.

MISSION

To provide clean, safe, adequate and potable water to all concessionaires of

Hagonoy Water District at a least affordable cost.

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES

STRENGTHS

They pledge the people satisfaction.

Availability of terms in services to other people.

Financial stability.

Only one who provides the water requirement of Hagonoy.

WEAKNESSES

The departments dont have enough computers that will satisfy the

needs of the trainees.

APPLICATION IN COMPUTER SCIENCE

When the students pursue their on the job training one of their question

is how can I apply my course to my preliminary job

More often in the large-scale of the business operation like the people

who are practiced in programming or in any feature related in computer are being

considered.

As a computer science apprentice. I can say that I already applied my

course in action it is done in monitoring and updating in performing different task

when I in the on the job training in the Hagonoy Water District.

LEARNING EXPERIENCES

My practicum gave me the best learning when it comes to decision-making,

goals and the future ahead. It is indeed a great experience that I had through even

for a short period of a time. It brought me to the real world of professions that helps

me broaden my knowledge and explore things out. It come on how to deal with new

people around.

COMMENTS

It is honor to have this kind of company in our country which had many

achievements and awards that were something to be proud of. They have served for

a long time and still pursuing the better quality of service.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Be more observant to the working environment. A graduating student must

be ready to act fully as a professional as it will help in achieving a

successful career.

When in doubt, always ask the supervisor for any questions. But before

asking, see what you can do first so that you will not be very reliant on

others.

Do not make too much haste in doing work. Always pay attention to

details. Going too fast or too slow will yield bad results in your work. It is

better to have more quality than quantity.

CONCLUSIONS

Working in their Institute is the biggest opportunity.

Working as a student trainee has been educational and wonderful, because I

have learned a lot about the world of networking and services.
