    INTRODUCTIONTo days world requires speed on each and every field. Hence rapidness

    and quick working is the most important. Now a days for achieving

    rapidness, various machines and equipments are manufactured by man.The engineer is constantly conformed to the challenges of bringing ideas

    and design in to reality. New machines and techniques are being

    developed continuously to manufacture various products at cheaper

    rates and high quality. The project !"#$!%% T#"N%&'%%'(N) being

    compact and *ortable equipment, which is skillful and is having something precise in transmitting power at right angle with out any gears being

    manufactured. &ost of the material is made available by our college. The

    parts can be easily made in our college work+shop. 'ts price is also less.

    This project gives us knowledge, e-perience , skill and new ideas of

    manufacturing. 't is a working project and having guarantee of success.

    This project is the equipment useful to improve the quality of the gear

    being manufactured and can be made in less time, hence we have

    selected this project

    CONSTRUCTION

    Double acting cylinder2+Here we have used double acting cylinder 't is the

    pneumatic actuator, which is actuated using compressed air. The 3orce e-erted by the

    compressed air moves the piston in two directions in a double acting cylinder. 'n

    principle, the stroke length is unlimited, although buckling and bending must be

    considered before we select a particular si4e of piston diameter, rod length and stroke

    length.The double acting cylinder consists of+

    56 ylinder tube, 76 *iston unit, 86 double cup packing on piston, rod packing of

    9(rings, :6 bron4e rod guide, piston rod, ;6 end covers 6

    cushion assembly

    The cylinder is manufactured from aluminium solid bar with central bore on lathe

    machine. 't is then made smooth internally using method of honing and lapping. 'tcontains piston and piston rod, which reciprocates to and froe with the application of

    high pressure air. The piston is fitted with the piston ring which is made of Teflon rubber

    to make perfect compression of the air. The material used for various parts differs for

    different types of cylinders depending upon applications

    WORKING

    Here is a wonderful mechanism that carries forcethrough a ?@A bend. Translating rotational motion

    around an a-is usually involves gears, which can

    quickly become complicated, infle-ible and clumsy+

    looking, often ugly. %o, instead of using gears, thistechnology elegantly converts rotational motion

    using a set of cylindrical bars, bent to ?@A, in a

    clever, simple and smooth process that translates

    strong rotational force even in restricted spaces.

    !l+bow mechanism is an ingenious link mechanism of slider and kinematic chain

    principle. This is also called as gearless transmission mechanism)

    The mechanism is very useful for cornering or transmitting motions at right angles.

    However in certain industrial application earless Transmission at #ight "ngle can

    also work at obtuse or accurate angle plane can be compared to worm and worm

    gear or bevel and pinion gear which are invariably used in the industry for numerous

    application. The main feature for mechanism comparatively high efficiency betweenthe input and the output power shafts with regards to the gear efficiencies.

    't has elaborately discussed in detail in the entire books o engineering that the gear

    drives have very low mechanical efficiencies. %ince 3actor relating to under frictional

    3orces between the mating gear teeth, the erratic hunting of the gears, the back lash

    between the teeth can not be over come and hence the efficiency can not be more

    than CCD (f recent gears of warm bevel type are being manufactured in poly propqlene and

    epo-y material where the 3rictional 3orces are comparatively eliminated. !ven

    though such gears are used for relatively small applications the efficiency is not more

    CONCLUSION %ome successful mechanical devices function smoothly however

    poor fly they are made while other does this only by virtue of a

    accurate construction F fitting of their moving parts.

    This projects which looks very simple F easy to construct was

    actually very difficult to conceive F imagine without seeing an actual

    one in practice. 't is an event a fact in the creative mental process

    nit the forces, which predominate among the schemes of the activetinkers. &otions demands to be studied first F we have done that

    very thing.

    Be find that while acceptable analysis for e-isting mechanism can

    often be made quite easily we cannot without insight F imagination

    make effective synthesis of new mechanism hence we are mould topresent this our project gear less transmission at ?@G
