はじめにThe Kobe LL.M. program was created for studentswishing to better understand both the law and thepractice of international business. The core curriculumin business law is supported by electives in businessmanagement, business consulting, and disputemanagement.

The program seeks to cultivate well-roundedpractitioners able to understand both the law and thepractice of international business. Many courses focuson practical skills and include role-plays andinteractive exercises that simulate internationalpractice.

Courses are taught in English, and our Graduate Schoolof Law is a training and test center for the TOLESinternational legal English certificate. There aremyriad resources available for students who wish toimprove their oral and written English expression.

We hope that you will consider joining us in Kobe, oneof the most beautiful and cosmopolitan cities in Japan.

2015年4月に、Kobe LL.M. (GMAP in Law)が始まりました。国際取引法、国際投資法、国際商事仲裁などの「国際ビジネス法」について、すべて英語で講義が行われます。法学の世界は今でも日本語での教育が普通です。しかしながら、経済活動がグローバル化している今日、企業の取引先は日本企業に限られませんし、M&Aで外国企業と 密接な関係を有する場面が増えてきます。どれだけ法律を勉強していても、外国人の上司・同僚・取引先とコミュニケーションができなければ、活躍の機会はありません。

Kobe LL.M. (GMAP in Law)は以下の特徴を有しています。

1. 講義がすべて英語です。海外の研究者・実務家が招聘され、2週間程度の短期集中講義を展開します。

2. 法律英語の専門の教授を雇用しています。特別な場合を除きの受講も可能です。

3. 1～3ヶ月の間、海外法律事務所でのインターンシップを経験し、法律・英語を実務レベルで身に付けることが可能です。

このように、Kobe LL.M. (GMAP in Law)は、英語を用いた国際ビジネス・パーソンを育てることを目的にしたものですが、これに加えて実践的・実務的な能力を大学院の間に鍛えておくことを目指しています。

The school of law has a strong tradition of international mooting. Students participate in the Vis Arbitral Moot in Vienna, the Vis Moot

East in Hong Kong, the LAWASIA International Moot Competition, and the FDI International Arbitration Moot as well as various regional

and national mooting competitions.

Mooting participants benefit from generous financial support and

coaching for international competitions.

NEWSLETTER

Candidates for admission should submit the following application materials:

a completed application form;

a research proposal comprising about 1,500 words;

certification of English proficiency such as TOEIC, TOEFL or IELTS scores; and

academic transcript(s).

Promising candidates will be interviewed either in person or by videoconference.

- Admission fee: 282,000 yen

- First installment of tuition fees: 267,900 yen
