Easiest for teacher to use. Students have not difficulty in responding
question because the question are being
asked in their mother tongue. It is easiest way to explain meanings of words
fron sentences or phrases from one language
to another language. Students learn the new language without
contact with native speakers.

Students lack comprehension, only translationword for word.
Does not allow students to create meaning in
