Once they were in his car he told Tracey he was going to pick up some aspirin downtown. But he kept passing store after store. Bible ExplorationWhy is it that we think sex before marriage is perfectly natural?

Read 1 Corinthians 6:18According to this, what is God’s plan? So, where did we get these other ideas? Where do you think they come from? Make a list here:

The Bible is not silent about the issue of sexual purity. In fact, God has included many different stories to highlight men and women’s struggles and victories, stories designed to teach us how to stand strong…

David’s DecisionVITAL STATS

Killed a 9 foot-tall giant in hand-to-hand combat Personal assistant to a king while still a teenager Became King of Israel at age 30 Warrior and commander-in-chief of the army of

Israel for 40 years

Read 2 Samuel 11:1–4Where was David when his armies went out to battle?

What was David doing while they were away?

When did it turn into sin?

Where did God give David a chance to change his mind?

Joseph’s DashVITAL STATS

Saved a nation and his own family from starvation Spent years in prison on false charges In charge of Pharaoh’s, King of Egypt, household Handsome and well-built

Read Genesis 39:7-12Where was Joseph when Potiphar’s wife tried to seduce him?

Should he have been there?

What was Joseph’s response to sexual temptation?

What steps did he take to resist?

Do you think his actions displayed strength or weakness?

Read 1 Corinthians 10:13What does God say about temptation?

How can this promise help us in our desire to stay sexually pure?

Review 1 Corinthians 6:18What does the Bible say we are to do with sexual sin?

What are the consequences when we sin sexually?

What, then, are we commanded to do with our bodies?

!

Temptation or Sin?It’s important to know the difference between temptation and sin. Remember, you can’t stop a bird from flying over your head, but you can stop it from building a nest in your hair. Once you’ve been tempted, Satan, the world and your flesh will try to keep you moving down the road toward sin. Don’t listen! Resist in the power of the Holy Spirit. Flee sexual temptation.

2 Timothy 2:22
