نسعى لنحييها، …هي »النفس التي حرم اهلل قتلها« وجعلها قيمة الحياة.

ليس جديدا على هيئة الهالل األحمر السعودي ان تخدم هذه القاعدة القرآنية السامية وأن تقوم بواجبها تجاه

المجتمع السعودي وحتى تجاه كل من يطأ هذه األرض المباركة. لكن الجديد هو في رؤية وتوجيهات صاحب السمو

الملكي األمير فيصل بن عبد اهلل رئيس هيئة الهالل األحمر السعودي الذي باشر منذ تسلمه مهامه بتطوير الخدمات وأسلوب العمل لتصل الهيئة إلى مستويات دولية تليق

بالمملكة واهلها.

إن هذه الرؤية التطويرية لعمل الهيئة داخل المملكة لها أبعاد أربعة:

1- تأمين خدمات اإلسعاف والطوارئ للمواطن، 2- اإلرتقاء بالهيئة وبخدماتها إلى مستوى متقدم من حيث

نوعية اإلسعاف والتجهيز، 3- سد الثغرات القائمة واالستجابة لحاجات المواطنين،

4- تأمين فرص عمل إضافية.

أما فيما يتعّلق ببرنامج التشغيل الذاتي الذي يتضمن اإلسعاف الطائر، وهو ما نحن بصدده هنا، فقد تطرقنا إلى

مستويات عدة، منها ما يتعلق بالبنية التحتية للمباني والمراكز اإلسعافية الجديدة ومهابط الطائرات، ومنها

التواصل مع الجمهور لتثقيفه حول اإلسعاف الطائر ومخاطر االقتراب من الطائرات، ومنها التعليمات الخاصة بالسالمة

الجوية. إنها ورشة لبناء ركن متطور وشديد األهمية، ركن من أركان عديدة نحاول تدعيمها للوصول بالهيئة إلى مستوى

ما تحمله في اسمها، “الهالل” كرمز ديني و”السعودية” كرمز وطني... ونحن قريبون جداً بإذن اهلل. لذا وجب علينا أن نخطو خطواتنا بشكل مدروس وشفاف وواضح. ومن هذا المنطلق

كان هذا التقرير األول حول برنامج التشغيل الذاتي، الذي سنضيف اليه مستقباًل تغطية اكثر شمولية...

We Strive to Save

We save “The life which God forbade to take” and make it our ultimate credo. This exalted tenet is not a new facet of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority. We have always been guided by Koranic values and answered the call of duty, especially in matters involving the Saudi society and the people who live in this blessed land.

What is new however, are all the initiatives launched under the vibrant vision and directives of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Abdullah, President of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority. Since taking office, His Royal Highness has led the evolution of our working methodology and the upgrade of our services to be at par with the highest international standards.

His Royal Highness’ vision is being implemented simultaneously across the Kingdom and addresses four vital dimensions:

1. Guaranteeing emergency medical and pre-hospital care for everyone in Saudi Arabia.2. Developing and upgrading our services to the next level in terms of human resources, infrastructure and equipment.3. Bridging the gaps and responding more accurately to the needs of the people we serve.4. Creating additional job opportunities and encouraging personnel growth.

For example, as part of the air ambulance service program, we have purchased land to build new emergency centres, we are developing numerous landing sites or helipads, and educating our operational partners and the public on issues related to safety during helicopter rescue operations. The program can in fact be considered a dynamic testing ground for building a reliable, sophisticated and solid foundation for the entire emergency medical service infrastructure.

We envision the Self Operating Program becoming a centre of best practice, which, in due course, will influence policy and operating procedure across the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, helping all of us to better serve humanity. This report is a brief update of our progress and achievements to date. It is the first such report and we are sure many more will follow, allowing everyone to keep pace with the attainment of our vision. Together we can create one of the best humanitarian organizations in the world.

Each service brand will have a spiral of life

for their distictive colour palette!!

One solution would be to create a new colour palette for theAmbulance and Marine services which di�erentiate all three service brand marks...these are forti�ed on the livery by thepatient response brand in the form of a brand stamp....

The old Red Crescent logo mark is

still being used by not only the client

but us as well, some of the vehicles

therefore will have to be rebranded at

later dates, which the client may start

to question...

There is currently no horizontal

lock up for the master brand,

which is causing problems when we need

to scale up or produce a

horizontal canvas....

One solution for this is simply have a 1 -2 day

workshop held in the building to introduce our

new brand to everyone. We are not only

rebranding a mark but rebranding a new

culture coming from the center out...this will

only be e�ective once we have ironed out the

teething problems with the current hierarchy!!

of life which has been devised from the aesthetic make of

our SERVICE BRAND family. Everything about this mark

shouts out our service brand even the colours....

We are misusing this supergraphic using it on with our masterbrand

mark a- a sort ofmix and match - this is confusing us and the client ...

We can still use this supergraphic throughout the family but should be

treated in corresponding colours �xed to the correspoding level in the

family....for example when used with the MASTERBRAND, the supergraphic

should be one single neutral colour so hat it

doesn’t get mixed up with our service brand...

The latest and most radical initiative in the Saudi Red Crescent’s mission to ‘STRIVE TO SAVE LIVES’, the service will significantly reduce the time taken to reach critically ill and injured patients.

Founded in 1932 the Saudi Red Crescent is one of the Middle East’s foremost humanitarian organisations. For nearly 80 years the SRC has dedicated itself to those in crisis, both within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and around the world. Domestically, it provides pre-hospital emergency care services and operates the nation's fleet of ground, sea and air ambulances. Abroad, the SRC is one of the world's leading contributors to humanitarian aid and assisting in disaster-relief operations.

carefully undertaken to ensure maximum visibility

and brand recognition from the ground and in the air.

Various elements of the brand identity were utilized to

deliver a sophisticated and highly distinct impact.

Conforming to the highest international standards, the application of the Air Ambulance helicopter branding utilized the latest paint technology and materials to ensure a long-lasting finish capable of withstanding extreme environmental conditions.

The helicopter air ambulance project is being implemented by the SRCA SOP in partnership with Action Aviation, a specialist aero-medical company. The helicopters chosen are all twin-engine air ambulances, light enough to land in heavily populated cities without damaging the surroundings, but powerful enough to each carry up to two pilots, two paramedics and two patients. The MD902 can operate in temperatures in excess of 50°C, thereby providing year round emergency cover across the Kingdom.

The Saudi Air Ambulance service is being launched in Riyadh, and will then be implemented in Jeddah and other cities throughout the Kingdom. Significant planning and liaison has been undertaken with the Riyadh traffic police, the Ground Ambulance service and other emergency services to allow the Saudi Air Ambulance to smoothly integrate with existing infrastructure.

هي إسعاف جوي بمحركين اثنين، وهي خفيفة بما يكفي لتحط في المدن المأهولة دون التسبب بالضرر للمناطق المحيطة بها. وبرغم ذلك فهي قوية

بما فيه الكفاية لحمل طيارَين ومسعَفين واثنين من المرضى أي ما يصل إلى ستة أشخاص في نفس الوقت. ويمكن أن تعمل مروحية الـ MD902 في درجات

حرارة تزيد عن 50 درجة مئوية، وبالتالي توفر خدماتها الطبية لحاالت الطوارئ في المملكة على مدار السنة.

إن خدمة اإلسعاف الجوي السعودي تم إطالقها في الرياض، وبعد ذلك سوف يتم استخدامها في جدة وغيرها من المدن في جميع أنحاء المملكة. وقد تم

التخطيط والتواصل بين خدمة اإلسعاف الجوي السعودي من جهة وبين شرطة المرور في الرياض، وخدمة اإلسعاف األرضي و خدمات الطوارئ األخرى

Making Informed Decisions

Designed to provide an advanced mobile mass

casualty response, the CCU Bus is linked to

the headquarters in Riyadh via state-of-the-

art voice, video and data links. It serves as an

on-scene command centre which can be based

as far as 4km away from the accident site and

still transmit live video and other data to the

headquarters for review and decision-making.

The CCU Bus was first deployed during the

2009 Hajj.

An integral component of the entire operation,

the bus used by Central Command as a mobile

command base required a skilful application of

the brand identity. Various signature elements

from the master brand were combined to create a

sleek and powerful visual presence.

حافلة وحدة التحكم للقيادة المركزية لقد صممت هذه الحافلة لالستجابة المتقدمة لالصابات الجماعية، وهي مرتبطة بالمركز الرئيسي في الرياض من خالل أحدث وسائل االتصال الصوتية والتصويرية وشبكات المعلومات و هذه الحافلة

تقوم بمهمة القيادة من على بعد 4 كيلومتر من موقع الحادث، وذلك من خالل بث الصور الحية ونقل المعلومات والبيانات األخرى

إلى المركز الرئيسي من أجل المراجعة واتخاذ القرارات. ولقد تّم استخدام هذه الحافلة للمرة األولى في موسم حج عام 2009م.

يعتبر الحفاظ على مستوى الضغط كما هو على سطح البحر أثناء

نقل المرضى أمراً ضروريًا جداً، وهو ما تقدمه طائرة SJ30 التي التعرّض

المرضى في مقصورتها لضغط منخفض اثناء التحليق عاليًا. فمع مداها

الذي يصل الى 2،500 ميل بحري وسرعتها البالغة Mach 0.8 تستطيع هذه

الطائرة نقل مرضى الحاالت الحرجة بسرعة وفعالية. كما أن داخلها مرن

يمكن تحويله بسرعة كي يخدم انواعًا متعددة من المتطلبات، كل

Maintaining sea level pressure can be a significant advantage when transporting patients by air, and the SJ30 is one of the world’s only aircraft which does not subject patients to reduced pressure at high cruising altitudes. Its 2,500 nautical mile range (4600 km) and Mach 0.83 speed (900 km/hr) allows fast and efficient transfer of critically ill patients, while the interior configuration is highly flexible and can be quickly converted to suit multiple mission requirements. The specification of the SJ30’s medical interior for the SRCA SOP is currently underway and the SJ30 will then enter service alongside other SOP air ambulance transports.

SRCA supplemented its air support

capabilities with the commissioning of an

Airbus A318 which is able to carry more

passengers than conventional corporate

jets. Its larger cabin space makes it easier

for doctors and nurses to attend to patients,

and its substantial under-floor cargo capacity

allows the SRCA to carry relief equipment

and first-aid supplies to disaster areas.

All of the SRCA’s air fleet will be designed

and commissioned with multi-role

capabilities. While MedEvac and relief

transport is the main objective, some of the

larger aircraft such as the A318 will have

other capabilities such as serving as airborne

command centres during crisis scenarios,

rapid transport of senior EMS personnel to

and from incident sites, and non-emergency

air transport of critically-ill patients.

األولية ووصولها الى المناطق المنكوبة. ولقد تّم تصميم األسطول الجوي لهيئة الهالل األحمر السعودي ليكون لديه

القدرة على التكيف مع كافة المواقف التي تستدعيها ظروف العمل اإلسعافي. واذا كان اإلخالء الطبي واإلغاثة هما الهدفين

الرئيسيين، فإن بعض الطائرات األكبر حجما مثل A318 لها قدرات أخرى، كأن تكون مركز القيادة المحمولة جواً خالل األزمات، وأن

تقوم أيضًا بالنقل السريع لكبار موظفي اإلسعاف من وإلى مواقع األحداث، وأن تنقل الحاالت الطبية الحرجة في الظروف غير

الطارئة.

Prince Faisal Welcomes the SOP Team

A press event was held to introduce the SOP team to members of the media in recognition of the team’s efforts and achievements. HRH Prince Faisal praised the team’s dedication and expressed his appreciation of their progress, especially the Air Ambulance service. The SOP team in attendance included Action Aviation and Action Impact personnel, Air Ambulance pilots, and various personnel from administrative and other departments.

أشاد صاحب السمو الملكي األمير فيصل بن عبداهلل بفريق برنامج التشغيل الذاتي تقديراً لجهوده وإنجازاته اثناء عقده مؤتمراً صحفياً لتعريف وسائل اإلعالم بالبرنامج. وقد أعرب

A communication strategy and implementation template has been

developed for SRC press conferences and other occasions which

involve interaction with dignitaries and members of the media.

The template includes complete floor plans for press conference

venues, interior design and furnishing, displays, banners and other

communication material. A range of gifts and commemorative

souvenirs, for both VIP

guests as well as members of the media, has also been designed.

A special film has also been developed as part of the press

conference template. The film showcases the SRC’s progress and

achievements in view of the five-year master plan as envisaged by

HRH Prince Faisal Bin Abdullah.

لقد تم تطوير استراتيجية لتنفيذ مؤتمرات هيئة الهالل األحمر السعودي الصحفية، وغيرها من المناسبات التي تنطوي على

التفاعل مع كبار الشخصيات ووسائل اإلعالم. ويشتمل هذا النموذج على خطط للتعامل مع المساحات بشكل فعال،

كما تضمن خططًا للتصميم الداخلي والمفروشات والعروض والالفتات وغيرها من وسائل التواصل المستخدمة. كما تم

تصميم مجموعة من الهدايا التذكارية والميداليات لكبار الشخصيات المستضافة، فضاًل عن أعضاء وسائل اإلعالم. وقد تم

To enable SRC’s participation in international exhibitions, conferences,

events and recruitment forums, an elegant pavilion has been designed

to reinforce the brand’s personality and appeal. The modular pavilion

allows quick deployment and customization to suit specific exhibition

requirements and floor plans. It includes an information kiosk, a meeting

area, eye-catching displays and live screens for presentations and films.

هيئة الهالل األحمر السعودي. وهو يعرض مركبات اإلسعاف الجوي واألرضي والبحري. كما يضم شاشات العرض وأكشاك المعلومات ومناطق استقبال الزوار. ويمكن

لألطفال التفاعل مع السمة التجارية عن طريق التحكم عن بعد بنماذج مصغرة لمركبات ومروحيات وزوارق الهيئة. إن استراتيجية اإلتصاالت والتواصل تشمل ثالثة

شخصيات ترفيهية تمثل خدمات اإلسعاف الثالث.

Exhibition Pavilion for Local Events

In preparation for the SRC’s involvement in local exhibitions, festivals,

and other national events, a comprehensive communication strategy was

developed to allow closer interaction with members of the public and the

media.

The exhibition pavilion for local events includes various vehicle and

aircraft displays, projection screens, information kiosks and reception

areas. Visitors, especially children, can also interact with the brand via

radio-controlled scale models of SRC vehicles, helicopters and boats. The

communication strategy includes three specially illustrated SRC mascots

representing the three ambulance services.

A dedicated photo archive has been established to collect

and organize all photographs related to the SRC. This

includes archiving and possible restoration of historical

photographs where available. The archive will be valuable

in documenting the SRC’s history, journey and progress in

the form of a visually appealing timeline. The archive will

also function as a ready-house image bank of proprietary

photographs for communication campaigns, sponsorship

activities, commemorative and anniversary publications,

and for members of the press and media.

A special photo shoot was organised to

commemorate the air ambulance team and

helicopter for the Official SRC Photo Archive.

One special picture was later framed and

presented by HRH Prince Faisal Bin Abdullah as a

gift to his father, The Custodian of the Two Holy

Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdel Aziz.

نظمت عملية تصوير الطوافات الجديدة مع فريق العمل من أجل حفظ الصور في األرشيف الرسمي لهيئة الهالل

األحمر السعودي.وقد قدم سمو األمير الملكي فيصل بن عبداهلل أحدى

الصور المميزة في فترة الحقة بعد أن تم وضعها في إطار قيم كهدية تذكارية إلى والده خادم الحرمين الشريفين

الملك عبد اهلل بن عبد العزيز.

To reduce the development time required for launching

awareness campaigns, a communication strategy

template has been developed and is ready for future

use. Inline with SRC’s communication objectives,

the template includes various printed collateral and

photographs as well as material for radio, TV and press

advertising. Media plans for various kinds of campaigns

and related audiences have also been developed

including events. The template was developed using

the projected campaign for Helicopter Safety Awareness

which aims to educate members of the public on

safety issues related to Air Ambulance helicopters.

The same template can then be customized for other

communication initiatives.

لتقليل الوقت الالزم إلطالق حمالت التوعية ووضع استراتيجية للتواصل واإلعالن فقد تم تطوير نموذج جاهز لالستخدام

في المستقبل، تماشيًا مع أهداف رسالة هيئة الهالل األحمر السعودي. تضمن هذا النموذج عينات وصور فوتوغرافية قد

تستخدم في مجال المطبوعات. كما تضمن مواد إعالنية لإلذاعة والتلفزيون والصحافة. وقد تم تطوير خطط إعالنية لحمالت تستهدف الوصول الى شرائح مختلفة من المجتمع بما في

ذلك بعض األنشطة. لقد تم تطوير النموذج من خالل الفكرة الرئيسية حول التوعية على مخاطر االقتراب من اإلسعاف الطائر

أثناء الهبوط واإلقالع. ويمكن تطبيق هذا النموذج وتطويعه بحسب متطلبات وأهداف أي مبادرة تواصل أخرى.
