WORKING AREA. I am responsible for smooth recording of all required incoming satellite, fiber and field tapes. Monitor scheduled recordings along with identifying media for deletion as well as dubbing material to and from various tape formats and standards. Communicate With MCR during Live and recorded feeds. Communicate with Archive and editors for different coming feeds.

Prepares technical data to support broadcast license and renewals.  Great aptitude for installing various types of connectors on and making repairs to Video/audio cabling and associated equipment.

Oversee PCRs, Master control, CRE and Studios and manage staff.

Maintain station equipment, remediation of equipment failures and installation of new station equipment including but not limited to broadcast equipment, IT and telephone systems and other related mechanical functions in a timely and professional manner

Perform periodic checks and adjustments to confirm equipment ready for operations and use. Design and construct new engineering projects. Prepare and timely deliver required status information and reports.

Operated and optimized digital and analog equipment required for television broadcasting, including routing switchers, audio boards and video switchers.

Responsibilities

Supervises the activities of subordinates; planning, organizing and scheduling daily work assignments including prioritizing work to supply the most efficient technical support while providing direction and technical control of engineering projects and evaluating progress and correcting projects as needed. 

Reviews the operations of engineering staff to ensure that the quality of broadcast operations meet government standards; reviews and evaluates required logging and maintenance discrepancy reports; conducts, prepares and maintains various testing reports to ensure standards and guidelines are being met. 

Installation of broadcast cameras, routers and production equipment, audio systems, and computer-based hardware. 

Evaluates and monitors technical standards and quality of in-studio and remote-use equipment. 

Coordinates with users in determining feasibility of accomplishing proposed work functions or processes by implementation of video and/or audio systems; creates estimated budgets in support of requests for proposals; recommends equipment and material for purchase.
