Instructions: 1. Calculate your net income in box 1. 2. Go back “at least” 30 days and collect receipts from credit cards and checks. Best to go back a whole year. However if 30 days is all you can do … then start there and track going forward. 3. Take receipts for past 30 days or more and estimate monthly expenses **Do this by taking the SUM of fixed expenses 2a, controllable expenses 2b and monthly portion of periodic expenses. 4. Compare income and expenses in box 3 and make adjustments 5. Look for ways to CUT spending and FIND money to INCREASE INCOME 6. Continue to track your spending each month so you can stay in control of your emotions. This can be done by creating a simple Excel worksheet.

2c Periodic Expenses

This are expenses that come up a few times a year. Fill out the estimated

cost under the month they come due. Things like certain taxes, replacing

tires, license, birthdays and holidays. Don't include the taxes withheld

from your paycheck. Add your total yearly periodic expenses and divide

by 12 to determine the monthly portion

SMM Drive Down Debt Plan

Instructions: “Driving Down Debt” is very important. Debt and interest can choke us and could make it very difficult to increase and amplify income. Hence it is very important to set up a debt plan and stick to it. Each month as you see your debt drive down and your income increase, you will start to feel the chains of debt and interest start to thin. Step #1: Get a list of all your debts Step #2: Write them down in Box 1. Step #3. Enter in the interest rate for each debt Step #4: Enter in the current payment for each debt Step #5: Enter in the amount owed for each debt Step #6: Enter any additional money you found or have to start driving down debt.

Here is the strategy. In most cases it is better to pay off the debts with the least

amount on them first. Then you will be able to free up money to drive down debt faster. If you feel more comfortable getting rid of the debts with the higher interest rates, then you do should that. When we went through this process, we paid off the debts with the least amount on them and then took the money that was freed up and applied it to the next debt, driving debt down faster. Don’t use the extra money to spend. Use it to continuing driving down your debt until all your debts are paid off including your home mortgage (if you own a home). This is a very simple debt plan. If you wanted to know the EXACT date you are going to be out of debt, you can find many templates online or build one in Excel.
