has been fully operational since the 13th November 2006

Over 100 volunteers who will give of their time and talents to the work of the desk in Ysbyty Gwynedd and community Hospitals

“To provide a place of information and direction to services available within the BCULHB and the wider health and social care world. Symbol of the need for easy access information on the one hand and a closer working relationship within the health and social care community on the other.”

• Volunteers welcome visitors at the main reception area and guide and direct the public to outpatient clinics and wards.

• Mae gwirfoddolwyr yn croesawu ymwelwyr yn y brif dderbynfa ac yn arwain a chyfeirio’r cyhoedd i glinigau cleifion allanol a wardiau.

expand to operate a patient enquiries desk, for visitors entering Ysbyty Gwynedd

• A telephone reminder service to remind patients of their appointment dates, and to discuss whether transport is needed

• Mae’r gwasanaeth ar fin ehangu i sefydlu desg ymholiadau cleifion, ar gyfer ymwelwyr sy’n dod i Ysbyty Gwynedd

• Gwasanaeth atgoffa cleifion am ddyddiadau eu hapwyntiadau dros y ffôn, a thrafod a oes angen cludiant

Good training is at the heart of good volunteering.

The Information Desk project is dedicated to offering a framework of training for all who offer their services.

An Induction Day is delivered by BCULHB staff as a recognition of the partnership that exists with the Volunteers.
