1. POLYVINYL CHLORIDE INSULATED BRAIDED

INDIVIDUAL AND OVERALL SCREENED LSZH SHEATHED FLAME RETARDANT CABLE

TYPE I1:300/500V CU/PE(XLPE)/IOSCR/PE/SWB/LSZH INSTRUMENT CABLE-PAIR

DESCRIPTION Single pair and multi-pair cables with copper conductor, PE insulated, individual and overall screened, PE

bedding, galvanized steel wire braided and flame retardant low smoke zero halogen compound outer sheath.

Cables are rated at 300 / 500 V

SPECIFICATION BS 5308 – 1, IEC 60332 – 3 Cat A, IEC 60754 (HCL Emission 0.5 % maximum by weight) & ASTM D

2863 (Oxygen Index greater than 30 %)

CABLE MARKING Manufacturer’s name, rated voltage, cable type, conductor size, manufacture year, logo and standard

requirement.

CONSTRUCTION Conductor (1) – Plain annealed circular solid or stranded copper conductor, conform to IEC 60228 or BS

6360 Class 1 or 2.

Insulation (2) – PE (Polyethylene) Note : XLPE (Cross-linked polyethylene)

Pairing – Two insulated cores shall be uniformly twisted together to form a pair. Each pair shall be screened

with aluminium/ polyester tape, applied with the metallic side down, in electrical contact with a tinned

annealed copper drain wire of 0.5 mm2

Pair Identification – 1) Single Pair – Black, White 2) Multi-Pair – Printed numbers on Black-White pair.

Cabling – Twisted pairs shall be laid –up together, if necessary filled with non- hygroscopic material

compatible with the insulation.

Screening (3, 4) – Assembled pairs shall be screened with aluminium/ polyester tape, applied with the

metallic side down, in electrical contact with a tin annealed copper drain wire of 0.5 mm2

Bedding (5) – PE compound. Colour – Black.

Braid (6) – Galvanized steel wires shall be braided over the PE bedding.

Outer Sheath (7) – Flame Retardant Low Smoke Zero Halogen LSZH compound

Colour – Black (Blue – IS).

Note: XLPE can produce, but the data not for XLPE.

DESCRIPTION Single pair and multi-pair cables with copper conductor, PE insulated, individual and overall screened, PE

bedding, galvanized steel wire armoured and flame retardant PVC compound outer sheath.

Cables are rated at 300 / 500 V

Pairing – Two insulated cores shall be uniformly twisted together to form a pair. Each pair shall be
