Término MeSH para Hepatic Failure 6
Definición MeSH
Hepatic failure
Severe inability of the liver to perform
its normal metabolic functions, as
evidenced by severe jaundice and
abnormal serum levels of ammonia;
bilirubin; alkaline phosphatase;
aspartate aminotransferase; lactate
dehydrogenases; and
albumin/globulin ratio.
Insuficiencia hepática
Incapacidad severa del hígado para
realizar sus funciones metabólicas
normales, según lo evidenciado por la
ictericia grave y niveles anormales de
suero de amoníaco, bilirrubina, fosfatasa
alcalina, aspartato aminotransferasa,
deshidrogenasa de lactato, y la relación
albúmina / globulina.

¿Encefalopatía?
El primer signo de encefalopatía puede ser sutil e inespecífico: cambios en el patrón de sueño, modificaciones de la personalidad, irritabilidad y torpeza mental.
