Scope: Sampling of Paddy, in process rice products and nis!ed products

against laid do"n specications for acceptance for e#port.

Procedure:

(A) Sampling of Paddy:

$efore unloading t!e paddy material rst sampling is carried out from %& to'&( outer perip!ery of laden truc) randomly and a*out +&g samplerandomly collected and mi#ed t!oroug!ly for !omogeneity. Out of +& gcollected sample, ----- gm is ta)en for testing against t!e specication asanne#ed in nne#ure I. If t!e result is found satisfactory, it can *efor"arded for furt!er stac)ing. If specication is deviated t!e paddy isre/ected and Re/ection note released to supplier. If t!e test report of rstsampling is satisfactory t!en *efore sending t!e paddy to drier sample isdra"n from all t!e *ags 0+&&(1 and a*out ------- g sample collected andsent to in !ouse la*oratory for testing it as per o"n specications asmentioned in nne#ure I. If t!e result is satisfactory t!en material s!ould

send to drier to reduce t!e moisture content to t!e desired specied level.

(B) Sampling of In-Process Products

(i) Sampling of Paddy during cleaning and rying :

Paddy samples during cleaning process and after su*/ected to drying issampled ten and ve times respectively at interval of2 and % mintuesrespectively. *out +&& gm paddy collected for testing for moisture. If moisture level is satisfactory as per specication t!en paddy is sent forfurt!er processing.

(ii) Sampling of semi processed rice at estoning

In case t!e analysis result of sampled paddy and semi nis!ed and nis!edRice during processing is found deviating from t!e laid do"n specicationsas per nne#ure I t!en t!e lot6*atc! is segregated and re-processed. 4venafter re-processing, if goods are not according to our specication, t!e sameis sold in t!e domestic mar)et and to t!e Distillery.

Responsi'ilities:

In case of Paddy Procurement 3anager, 7uality 8ontrol 3anager and 8!ief 4#ecutive "ill *e Responsi*le for Sampling, 9esting and Decision ma)ingrespectively.

In case of In-process6inis!ed Process 7uality 8ontrol 3anager is responsi*lefor Sampling and 9esting and 5eneral 3anager and 8!ief 4#ecutive "ill *eresponsi*le for decision ma)ing
