(Three posts for each subject ) The candidates must possess Masters degree of not less than Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.0 at Masters level and 3.5 at Bachelors level. Either Kiswahili or Arabic languages should be their fields of specializations in their undergraduate and postgraduate studies. Duties and Responsibilities i. Kiswahili for Foreigners Successful candidates will be responsible for teaching Kiswahili to Foreigners intending to work in Tanzania and other countries where Kiswahili is used. They will also be responsible for teaching undergraduate and diploma in languages with education students, conducting research and consultancy together with doing any other duties that may be assigned to them by their immediate supervisors. ii. Arabic language Successful candidates will be responsible for teaching Arabic language to undergraduate and diploma in languages with education students, conducting research and consultancy together with doing any other duties that may be assigned to them by their immediate supervisors.

The State University of Zanzibar (SUZA) invites applications from suitably qualified

and competent Tanzanians to be considered for employment to fill the followingvacant posts:

A: ACADEMIC POSTS

i.  Kiswahili for Foreigners 

ii.  Arabic language.

B: ADMINISTRATIVE POST

1. Public Relations Officer (One post)

Qualifications

•  Holders of Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication, Bachelor of Arts inJournalism or Advanced Diploma in Journalism with a bias in Public

Relations.

•  Good command of English and Kiswahili.

•  Applicants should be computer literate.

Duties and Responsibilities

•  Assists in the routine public relations activities such as the writing features for

the university newsletters, press releases, carrying out of photographicassignments, handling of advertisements, etc.

•  Reports public criticisms and complaints to his/her superiors.

•  Performs any other duties as may be assigned to him/her from time to time.
