Hejumpeddown from the terrace. [] Hebecame conscious of the weight of his
clothes, kickedhis shoes offfiercelyandripped offeach stocking with its elasticgarter in a single movement. Then heleaptback on the terrace, pulled offhisshirt, and stood there among the skull-likecoco-nuts with green shadows from thepalms and the forest sliding over his skin.
