    Who is it?

    Hejumpeddown from the terrace. [] Hebecame conscious of the weight of his

    clothes, kickedhis shoes offfiercelyandripped offeach stocking with its elasticgarter in a single movement. Then heleaptback on the terrace, pulled offhisshirt, and stood there among the skull-likecoco-nuts with green shadows from thepalms and the forest sliding over his skin.

    The boy came close and peered down at Ralph,screwing up his face as he did so. What he saw ofthe fair-haired boy [] did not seem to satisfyhim. He turned quickly, his black cloak flying.
