มีคุณภาพ โดยมุงหวังใหผู เรียนไดรับการพัฒนาอยางมีคุณภาพตาม

มาตรฐานการเรียนรู ของหลักสูตรและ

พัฒนาไดอยางเหมาะสมไปพรอมกับ

วันที่ 8 พฤศจิกายน 2554 และไดมีการ

ลงนามขอตกลงระหวาง ผูอำนวยการเผด็จ

โพธิ์อน ผูอำนวยการโรงเรียนสงวนหญิง

กับ Mr.Vince Breunig ผูอำนวยการ

โรงเรียน Lodi High School ในการแลก

เปลี่ยนการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนการสอน

เป นระบบทางไกล หร ือ Distance

Education ขึ้น เมื่อวันที ่17 ตุลาคม 2554

ในระหว างท ี ่ โรงเร ียนสงวนหญิงนำ

นักเรียนแลกเปลี ่ยนเดินทางไปยังประเทศ

สหรัฐอเมริกาและนักเรียนไดเรียนรวมกับ

นักเรียนโรงเรียน Lodi High School

รัฐวิสคอนซิน ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกานั ้น

โรงเรียนสงวนหญิงไดดำเนินการทดลองสอน

ทางไกลโดยใช Internet ผานทางระบบ

เครือขาย Skype ที่ทำใหผูสอนและผูเรียน

ระหวาง 2 โรงเรียน 2 ประเทศ คือ โรงเรียน

สงวนหญิง ประเทศไทย และโรงเรียน Lodi

High School ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา สามารถ

ติดตอพูดคุยกันไดเสมือนอยู ในหองเรียน

เดียวกันไดสำเร็จ โดยโรงเรียนสงวนหญิง

ดำเนินการสอนวิชาวัฒนธรรมและสิ่งแวดลอม

ของเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใตใหแกนักเรียน

การจัดเวลาในการเรียนการสอนทางไกล ระหวางโรงเรียน

สงวนหญิงและโรงเรียน Lodi High School รัฐวิสคอนซิน

ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา นับวาเปนปญหาสำคัญอยางหนึ ่ง

เนื่องจากเวลาของทั้งสองประเทศตางกันถึง 13 ชั่วโมง ในขณะที่

ประเทศไทยเปนเวลากลางวัน ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกาเปนเวลา

กลางคืน การจัดการเรียนการสอนทางไกลดังกลาวคุณครผูสอน

และนักเรียนจึงตองใชเวลาพิเศษนอกเวลาเรียนปกต ิการดำเนิน

การสอนวิชาวัฒนธรรมและสิ่งแวดลอมของเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียง

ใตของโรงเรียนสงวนหญิง ดำเนินการในชวงเวลา 21.00 น. ถึง

22.24 น. ตามเวลาในประเทศไทย ซึ่งตรงกับเวลา 10.00 น.

ถึง 11.24 น. ของประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา สวนการสอนวิชา

ประวัติศาสตรอเมริกาจากโรงเรียน Lodi High School ดำเนิน

การสอนระหวางเวลา 6.00 น. ถึง 7.24 น. ตามเวลาใน

ประเทศไทย ตรงกับเวลา 19.00 น. ถึง 20.24 น. ของประเทศ

สหรัฐอเมริกา ใชเวลาเรียนคาบเรียนละ 84 นาที

การจัดการเรียนการสอนดังกลาวมีกระบวนการใหความรู

การทำชิ้นงาน ภารงาน การวัดผลประเมินผล เชนเดียวกับการ

เรียนการสอนตามปกต ิทั้งนี้การเรียนวิชาประวัติศาสตรอเมริกา

ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปที ่ 6 โรงเรียนสงวนหญิง ไดนำมา

การดำเนินการจัดการศึกษาในระบบทางไกล ระหวาง

ดำเนินไปอยางมีประสิทธิภาพ บรรลุตามวัตถุประสงคของโรงเรียนและ

กระทรวงศึกษาธิการตามกระบวนการในการปฏิรูปการศึกษาและ

โรงเรียนมาตรฐานสากล

นอกจากนั้นโรงเรียนสงวนหญิงยังไดรับการสนับสนุนเปน

อยางดีจากผูปกครองนักเรียน ในการใหความรวมมือ เสียสละเพื่อ

ใหการดำเนินการโครงการจัดการศึกษาทางไกลระหวางนักเรียน

โรงเรียนสงวนหญิงและโรงเรียน Lodi High School ประเทศ

สหรัฐอเมริกาดำเนินไปสูความสำเร็จ ซึ่งนับเปนความรวมมืออันสำคัญ

ยิ่งระหวางโรงเรียนกับชุมชนในการที่จะชวยผลักดันใหการศึกษาของ

โรงเรียนสงวนหญิงเจริญกาวหนาสูมาตรฐานสากลและบังเกิดผลดีแก

นักเรียนผูเปนบุตรหลานของทานอยางเต็มที่ตอไป

Connecting students and teachers between Thailand and The United States Of AmericaDISTANCE LEARNING FOR THAI STUDENTS AND AMERICAN STUDENTS: CONNECTING SA-NGUAN YING SCHOOL, SUPHANBURI, THAILAND AND LODI HIGH SCHOOL, LODI, WISCONSIN, USA

Sa-nguan Ying School [SYS], and Lodi High School [LHS] took a ground breaking step to the sister school status to another level. At the start of the second semester of the current school year the two schools brought their distance education initiative to fruition.

Twenty-two Sa nguan Ying School English Program students are taught U.S. History as part of the World Studies of the Thai curriculum by Lodi High School Social Studies teacher Mr. Mark Kohl Monday through Friday mornings from 7:00 to 8:30 a.m. which is Sunday through Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in Lodi, Wisconsin. SYS social studies teacher Ms. Woraporn Promjairak serves as resource teacher while class is in progress.

In turn, Ms. Kar nteera Ingkhaninan SYS social studies teacher teaches Cultural Geography of Southeast Asia to fourteen LHS students who have enrolled in this course Monday to Friday evenings from 9:00 to 10:30 p.m. which is Monday to Friday mornings 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. Wisconsin time. Ms. Janel Anderson, LHS social studies teacher, serves as resource teacher while the class is in progress.

HOW THE PROGRAM EVOLVED

! The concept o f shar ing Distance Education first emerged in April 2008 when Mr. Supannachaht Plang-ngoen visited LHS as part of the In ter nat iona l Sunr i se Prog ram organized by Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and the Thai Royal Ministry of Education. The idea was discussed again in November 2008 when the first group of LHS students and educators traveled to Thailand as part of

the Student Exchange Program between SYS and LHS. For mer Distr ict Administrator Mr. Michael Shimshak and Chaht, Coordinator of SYS English Program and Student Exchange Program at SYS, discussed the possibility pursuing Distance Education.

Class Atmosphere The idea gained further interest in November 2010 when students and educators from SYS went to Lodi. Mr. Chaht approached Mr. Kohl about returning to Thailand to observe and teach classes at SYS as a means of understanding the learning styles and English skills of SYS students. The long-term objective was to apply the knowledge and experience to teaching a distance education course. Following several weeks and months of further discussions, Mr. Kohl kindly accepted the invitation and sacrificed his three-week summer holidays in July 2011 at SYS observing and teaching social studies classes in grades 7-12.

During the 2010-2011 school year, Mr. Chaht and Mr. Kohl along with Social Studies teachers of both schools, put together detailed plans to implement the Distance Education concept, which included approval and support of the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. In January 2554 LHS Principal Mr. Vince Breunig and SYS Director Mr. Phadet Pho-on, s i g n e d a M e m o r a n d u m o f Understanding to launch distance education between the sister schools.

! At! SYS,! the!School!Director,!SYS!staff!and!parents! are!very! supportive!to!the!program.!!The!budget!has!been!economically!used!to!run!the!program.

According! to!the!of<icials!from! the!Wisconsin!DPI!and!the!Suphanburi!Secondary!Education!Service!Area!9,!LHS!and!SYS!are! the!only! schools! in! the!State!and!Thailand!engaged!in!Distance!Education!with!students!earning!credit!from! courses! taught! by! teachers! from! another! country.! ! This! is! just! another!example! showing! how! LHS! and! SYS! are! among! the! state’s! leader! in! global!education.

Participants! who! are! involved! in! this! program! (administrators,!teachers,! students,! staff! and!parents)!are!doing! it!with!the!heart!of! educators.!!The! program! has! been!witnessed! by! lots! of! educators,! visiting! classes! while!they! are! in!progress! both!personally! and!online! through! social! network! and!showed!their!appreciation!and!praises!to!the!program.
