4. Perform the job Generate Database in Admn-Server ManagementJobsNew Job

5. Perform the Extract New Db job in Admn-Server ManagementJobs New job with the following job parameters

a. Client Name : “ User Name”b. Client Database Encryption Method : NONEc. Encrypt Client DB password : Falsed. Extract All Repository tables : True

6. Click SubmitJobwait until the job status shows as Success.7. Check the TNS entry8. Check the Host File ( Path : C:\ Program files\Windows\System32\drivers\hosts)

and provide the host details.a. Ip addressb. Full compuer name of the server( Host name)

9. Open .cfg file of tools10. In the Local Section of the Tools cfg file, provide the following info:

a. Dock Connect String : ip add of the server with Port numberb. Enterprise server : ‘Name of the Enterprise Server”

11. Edit the Server Section of the Tools cfg file:a. Connect string : ‘TNS Service Name’b. Table Owner : SIEBELc. Gateway Address : ‘IP Address of the server with port number’d. Enterprise server : ‘Name of the Enterprise Server”

12. In the General section of the Tools cfg file Edit the value of the ServerdbODBC Datasource.

13. Log on to Tools using your username and password14. It will popup a msg window like ‘Local db was not found, would like to connect

the Remote …..’, Click ‘YES’15. Provide the pass word , re confirm the pwd16. It will take the 15 to 30 mins to complete the extraction.17. End of the extraction, Tools will be opened automatically.18. Then Replace the Clients mwc_storage file with Tools19. In the ODBC connections, Select the LocaldbODBC datasource and provide the

local dbf path and user credentials.20. Log in to Client using your credentials.
