Any maintenance and disassembly should be done as follows
1Reduce internal pressure to be same as atmospheric pressure.
2stop to supply the gas while cleaning.
3Shut off the power. Functions of Each Parts
Drain Plug
For easily melting powder and pellets, gas-cleaning must be done.
Overload formed after accumulate powder melted, rotary feeder stopped to
rotate.
For Type BP, gas-cleaning from here.
Clean of Shaft
For type BVSBPSBVSTBPST, to prevent power
stop between the rotor and side board, remove the
drain plug to apply and clean the gas.
Remove the upper drain plug to apply, gas pressure
10~20kPa higher than system pressure.
Remove the under drain plug to clean, gas pressure
10~20kPa higher than system pressure.
For type BV/ BP/BVT/ BPT, to prevent gas leaks
caused by the powder inside the feeder, remove the
drain plug to apply or clean, gas pressure 10~20kPa
higher than system pressure.

Be sure to clean the shaft, otherwise may cause gas leakage an also increase the abrasion of
packing gland.
Options
Dead Block
Vent Chamber
Vent Pipe
While transporting hardy pellets, install the dead block
upside the rotary feeder to relax the impact, or reduce
the fragmentation of pellets
While the out pressure is obviously higher than inlet,
gas leakage will prevent falling of powder and pellets.
Vent chamber installed for the purpose to deal with
this gas leakage.
Vent pipe can deal with gas leakage if no space for
installing vent chamber while materials are pellets.

Do not disassembly vent-pipe to avoid cutting off the fingers.
Gas leakage may include powder, so vent pipe can not have the sameeffect as vent chamber.
INSTALLATION
Portage
Serious accident may happen while falling.
Lift job should be done by the persons who learn the lift technical or take the
safety education of lift job.
Method Using four steel ropes to lift.
Following values are for safety load:Model: GR7-600 GR800-1600
Safety load: 1,000kgs 2,000kgs
Note: For the quality of rotary feeder, reference the drawings when delivery.
Installation
Repairing place needed when installing the rotary feeder.
Remove the safety film in the flange before install the
associated piping.
Unload operation
To confirm load of the associated piping, and no foreign materials in the casing, do
follow the instructions:

Serious accident may happen while operating.
Follow the safety instructions:
Check the load of piping connected and no foreign materials in the casing.
1Shut off the power after installing the associated piping.
2Remove chain cover and chain.
3Rotate the feeder manually. Make sure that it rotates smoothly.
Loosen packing gland and make rotary feeder rotates smoothly if feeling itrotates tightly.
Unload operation
1Check all the associated piping connected.
2Feed the geared motor with an adequate and proper volume of lubricating oil.
Motors with a grease lubrication system are already provided with grease.
3Confirm the chain cover well installed.
4Check the rotational direction.
5When above check is completed, operate the feeder 15~30 minutes with no load,
and make sure that no abnormal sound is generated.
6Tighten the gland packing again if gas leaks between the packing and the shaft.
7If no vibration and noise, unload operation finished.
Periodical Maintenance
It is important to do the maintenance periodically to make sure the well-running of the
rotary feeder, or faults happened before the date of maintenance.
1Periodical inspection monthly.
2Periodical inspection annually.
Periodical inspection monthly
Check the Noise or vibration.
Check the Leakage of packing gland.
Check tense of Chain.Add oil to the chain.

Periodical inspection annually.
Disassembly the rotary feeder.
Check and clean all the parts.
Replace gland packing.
Replace bearing ( if damaged)
Replace damaged parts.
Replace O-ring and oil seal.
Adjust the clearance.
Add lubrication oil.
Note: Maintenance of the geared motors must follow the manual instructions of
manufacturer.
Instructions for disassembly and assembly
For all work, observe the safety instructions in section 1.
Disassembly
1Remove the chain cover, chain and sprocket.
2Remove the pipes connected to the rotary feeder.
3Before disassembling, measure the clearance between the casing and the rotor.
Record all the measurement values of the clearance.
4Loosen the gland.
5Remove the taper pin.
6Remove the bolt and then the bearing covers.
7Remove the lock nut and the lock washer.
The teeth of the lock washer are folded up to engage in the lock nut recesses.
Before unfolding the washer teeth, mark on the nut and washer to indicate which
tooth corresponds to which recess.

NoteTo adjust the clearance, sometimes add a spacing ring between the block and
roller bearings. Check no parts are missing before assembly.
10Remove the side board.
11Remove the rotor from the casing slowly and squarely.
12Remove the gland packing and the lantern ring if present. Remove oil seals, roller
bearing, ball bearing.
ASSEMBLYType BVSBPSBVSTBPST
1Check that no parts are missing, and that each part is free from damage.
Damaged parts should be replaced.
2Clean the disassembled parts.
Especially clean the sections directly exposed to particles and inside the casing
cylinder.Clean and regress the bearings.
3Fit the gland packing, lantern ring(if present), and the gland.
Do not fasten the nuts tightly.
4To replace the bearings, tap the roller bearing into the rear side cover housing, the
roller bearing outer ring into the front side cover housing, and the inner ring onto
the shaft using, for example, a flat chisel.
5Insert the rotor into the casing. Do not twist when inserting.
6Type BVBPInstall side board(driven side) to the casing, fasten the screw tightly.
Type BVTBPTOrderly install side board and bearing base(driven side) to the
casing, fasten the screw tightly
7Drive the taper pin, fasten the bolt tightly.
8Install the ball bearing. To avoid the damage of ball bearing,
be sure to follow right drawing, install
inner and outer ring simultaneously, and
symmetrically use the force into the place
where lock nut can go, then, fit the lock nut, install the roller bearing to setting
place.

8Install the lock washer, fasten the lock nut so that the marks on the washer and the
nut coincide, and fold the lock washer teeth into the nut recesses again.
9Drive the taper pin, fasten the bolt tightly.
10Type BVBPInstall the side board(drive side) to the casing, fasten the bolt
tightly.
Type BVTBPTOrderly install side board and bearing base(drive side) to the
casing, fasten the screw tightly
11Drive the taper pin tightly, fasten the screw.
12Install the bearing covers.
13Rotate the feeder manually. Make sure that it rotates smoothly.
14Measure the clearance between the casing and the rotor and compare the value to
the one obtained before the disassembly.
Repeat the reassemble if the values are lower than the values measured before thedisassembly or the lowest allowable value the Inspection Report indicates.
15Orderly install the spacing block, end thrust ball bearing and locking collar.
Make sure to install the spacing collar (if have) between spacing
block and ball bearing , otherwise the value of clearance will be high and cause
damage of rotary feeder.
16 Install the lock bolt, fix with setting screw.
17Install the lock washer, fasten the lock nut so that the marks on the washer and the
nut coincide, and fold the lock washer teeth into the nut recesses again.
18Install the bearing covers.
