• Narrator: Some noises are from the sea. Let’s go watch what’s happening there!

• Turtle: What are you eating, Nemo?• Nemo: I don’t know what it is, but it looks tasty,

doesn’t it?• Turtle: Yes. But we don’t know what it is.• Nemo: But I’m so hungry. I can have a bite,

can’t I?• Turtle: Well…I don’t think so. (Nemo starts to

eat) Wait!

• Narrator: But it was too late before Nemo ate that thing for snack. Here comes the dolphin. She sees Nemo eating the garbage. And she also tries to stop it.

• Dolphin: Nemo, stop. Oceans are facing the greatest dangers in history: garbage, oil spills and overfishing. All of these make our oceans sicker and sicker. What you just ate is a plastic bag. It may kill you! I can’t believe that you ate it all.

• Nemo: Oh, No! I’m dying, am I not? Help! Help! Who can help me?

• Poseidon: Who’s calling for help? I am the sea god, Poseidon. (Look at Nemo) Don’t worry. You won’t die. (Wave the wand at Nemo. Nemo feels better.)

• Dolphin: Oh! Your highness. What can we do to save oceans? If we don’t make a change, a lot of sea life will be gone soon.

Wrap-up 讀者劇場 Reader’s Theater

• Poseidon: People should take the responsibilities to save our oceans, shouldn’t they? I have heard that the idea of World Oceans Day, haven’t you?

• The others: Yes, we have. But what can people do for sick oceans?

• Poseidon: They celebrate World Oceans Day on June 8 every year. They do beach cleanups and hold movie festivals to teach the public about the beauty of our oceans. (The others nodded.)

• All: We truly hope that people can make oceans not only cleaner but also more beautiful by celebrating World Oceans Day.

• Poseidon: Remember, “Well done is better than well said.”( or Actions speak louder than words.)

• Nemo: Right. Then I won’t eat garbage by mistake.

• All: Save the oceans, save the world. You can do something to make the world better.
