On the other hand we have produced something that isdi#erent to the typical thriller openings, as the two mainprotagonists are females, whereas it would usually be arole ta$en up by a male.

%nother way we have tried something di#erent is throughthe ages of the main characters, for eample in a typicalthriller opening the protagonists and antagonists areusually a males in their middle age !'(s-)(s". *ut in ouropening the antagonists and protagonists are younger.

%t the same our thriller opening still compares to thetypical opening as it shows that the younger generationare more into ta$ing ris$s and action.

    Location/setting

One way our opening is similar to real life thriller openingsis through the use of our urban location.

On the other hand we have tried to do something di#erentin the sense that we decided to lm in the evening, as we

felt there would be a better e#ect if the lights of thebuildings where shown if the dar$ bac$ground.

    Visual & audio style

hrough our visual style we have created a theme ofdanger, which is commonly associated with the thrillergenre. e have done this the use of the red interior in theopening scene at the restaurant.

e also used typical audio style that would be found in“real media products”. %n eample of this would be duringthe scene where the antagonist was being hunted downby the two protagonists, we used a fast pace action trac$,which would be typically found in a action thriller.

    Credit sequence, font choice &title

Our font choice for our credit sequence and title is typicalof a thriller opening, as it is in big, bold and white writingwhich allows it to stand out.

    Plot twists/enigmas

Our use of plot twist and enigma would typically be foundin a action thriller. +or eample our enigmas would besomething along the lines of !why is he laughing whentheyve ta$e the briefcase", !where did the hard-drivedisappear to" or ! is there a double agent".

0n our opening our plot twist would be that after gettingthe brief case from the antagonist, they open it todiscover that it is empty.

    Build up of suspense/creatingtension

One technique that we have used that would be commonin typical thriller openings to create tension !build upsuspense" would be our use of slow motion. +or eample0n the scene where the two protagonists are chasing downthe agonist, this helps create tension as it ma$es theaudience anticipate what would happen net.

%nother technique we have used is by putting theaudience in the antagonists point of view loo$ing up atone of the protagonists, which also ma$es the audienceanticipate what will happen net.
