General

The Heater Kit is intended for MircoPower Outdoor Systems and MicroPower Outdoor 

Battery Cabinets situated in cold climates. If the cabinet inside temperature drops below 5°C

the heater will automatically start to heat up the cabinet. The heater will turn itself off when

the inside temperature reaches 15 °C. This will ensure that the batteries will last longer.

Installation must be done by authorized personnel only.

Eltek Energy recommends that the system is powered down before installation of the kit.

Recommended tools

Standard equipment used by an authorized electrician. NOTE: All tools have to be insulated.

Torque settings

•  M6 screws for the DIN bar: 5.0Nm•  Terminals on the heater: 1.5Nm

•  M6 nut on the earth copper plate: 6.0Nm

The Kit for Heater consists of the following components.

Installation

Step Description Comment OK 

1 Switch off the external

AC breaker and the battery breaker.

2 Remove the batteries and 

the battery shelf.

3 Put the boxed nut into the

4th inner square hole from

the bottom. Mount the

DIN rail with the hex bolt

through the boxed nut and 

the M6 screw through theinner round hole.

Torque: 5.0Nm.

4 Connect the loom to the

heater.

First connect the

green/yellow cable at the

earth terminal on the

heater. Then connect the blue cable to N1 and the

 black cable to L1.

5 Snap the heater on the

DIN rail.

6 Run the cables from the

heater to the earth plate

and the analog controller 

 board.

Connect the green/yellow

cable with the cable lug at

the earth copper plate.

Torque: 6.0Nm

Connect the blue (N)

cable at connector 1 pinnumber 3 (CON1-3).

The black (L) cable must

 be connected to connector 

1 pin 4 (CON1-4).

Fix the cables with cable

ties.

7 Remount the battery shelf.

Put the batteries on the

 battery shelf again and 

reconnect the battery

cables.

Switch on the battery breaker and the external

AC breaker.

8 The Heater Kit has now

 been installed.
