GLOBAL IMPACT BEGINS HERE.
The Master of International Policy (MIP) at the University of Georgia is offered jointly by the Center for International Trade and Security (CITS) and the Department of International Affairs and offers advanced training for students who wish to pursue non-academic careers in a variety of arenas, including international, governmental, and non-governmental organizations; the diplomatic corps; federal agencies, such as the foreign service and the intelligence community; and foreign policy making, strategic trade, and other international policy fields.
Graduate Research Assistantships are available to two outstanding MIP students. These students will have the opportunity to work alongside experts in the fields of non-proliferation, strategic trade controls, CBRN security and related areas at CITS. For more information, visit

The Master of International Policy program at the University of Georgia is not your traditional graduate degree. It is a degree designed for practictioners taught by nuclear security experts at the Center for International Trade and Security.
COURSESThe MIP program of study contains 36 credit hours (twelve 3-hour classes and one capstone paper). The classes in the timetable below are mandatory classes to be taken by all International Security and Nonproliferation-track MIP students. Prior to the
completion of the degree program, MIP students must also demonstrate competency in a foreign language that is the equivalent to two years of study at the undergraduate level.
APPLYINGThe MIP program admits students each fall. All applications must be submitted by February 15 of the year for which you are applying.
