experiences of teaching and researching in urban studies, particularly dealing with different aspects of Kurdish

urbanism. I have done different research projects, hold and managed two international conferences, a well

networked in my homeland and to some extent in international level (CV). I have also attended different

international conferences for paper presentation, which engaged me more with international networking

opportunities. From 2006 till 2014, I was the head of Urban Planning and Design Dept., University of Kurdistan, Iran.

Since 2014, I am Vice-Dean for Research, Faculty of Art and Architecture, University of Kurdistan, Iran. Considering

this background, I have acquired the necessary knowledge as experienced researcher for this fellowship.

• Gender aspects are well-articulated and precisely specified in the proposal.

Strengths

• The proposed project will greatly assist the researcher to reach their goal of obtaining a permanent academic position, through the acquisition of greater academic visibility, plus specialist expertise, and high-level research skills and competences. • The fellowship will greatly broaden the international networks of the researcher. • The measures to exploit and disseminate the project results are diverse and excellent: social media academic groups, links with scientific journals, etc. • The planned public engagement activities are highly relevant and suitable for communicating the project results to non-specialist

audiences. A particularly strong aspect is also the plan to integrate such activities into fieldwork (for example when interviewing policy makers) which is an excellent initiative.

The researcher has all the relevant experience in dealing with those risks and the contingency plans are well prepared. • The active contribution of the beneficiary to the research and training activities is clearly described in the proposal. • The infrastructure, logistics, and facilities provided by the host are suitable for the successful implementation of the action.
