Activities

Turbo generators installation

ACTIVITIES

Assembly and startup of MS 5000 and MS 7000 GE units and Solar units, model Titan 130

Operation and maintenance of turbo generators in simple cycle, cogeneration and combined cycle

ACTIVITIES

Verify and obtain startup permissives

Gas valve and liquid fuel system calibration

Check voltage amplitude, frequency and phase shift of the signals to be synchronized

Synchronism of generators

Startup and commissioning of turbo generators

ACTIVITIES

TROUBLESHOOTING FAULTS:

Control and protection

Power failures in the generator and associated equipment, motors, switches, motor control center, relays, plugs, transformers, faulty synchronization

Mechanical failures in turbine components such as fuel nozzles, combustors baskets, transition pieces, vanes, nozzles, etc

Instrumentation failures in thermocouples, pressure transducers and transmitters, pressure switches, temperature switches and flame detectors

Failures in auxiliaries systems components, such as starting motor, lubricating oil, hydraulic oil, cooling water system, fuel gas system, fuel oil system

Troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, instrumentation and control failures

Study of logical sequences for startup and operation

ACTIVITIES

Logical analysis of sequences that control the different processes during a start as: turning gear cycles, clutch, start permissives, starting and stopping of the engine lube oil pumps, ignition sequence, flame detection, acceleration to complete sequence, inlet guide vanes control and bleed valves control

Synchronism check for closing the generator breaker.

Active (MW) and reactive (MVAR) power loading. Evaluation of generator parameters

Operational evaluation of turbo generating units

ACTIVITIES

Evaluation of physical and operating parameters of all the devices that constitute each of the auxiliaries systems (lubricating oil, hydraulic oil, cooling water, cooling air, combustion, etc). Issue recommendations to optimize their operation

Identification of components that are not operating efficiently to recommend their replacement in order to improve the operation of the process

Supervise routine maintenances, hot gas path maintenance and major overhauls

ACTIVITIES

Preparation of scope of work and supervision of the execution of routine maintenances, hot gas path maintenances and major overhauls

Elaboration and follow up of inventories for the execution of maintenances

Analysis of frequent failures and failure types

ACTIVITIES

Analysis of fault registries to define their root cause, with the purpose of reducing their occurrence

Recommendations for purchasing replacement parts to reduce downtime after a failure occurs

Evaluation of operating parameters that can show trends of equipment to fail, in order to prevent them from occurring

Training to operation and maintenance personnel in

Mark V and Mark VI control systems

ACTIVITIES

Training courses of turbine auxiliaries systems; courses about generator excitation system

Courses of turbo generators control system: Mark V and Mark VI control systems for operation and maintenance personnel

Logic of Siemens control systems
