BIKER BASH is a bike racing game that combines classic gameplay from titles like ROAD

RASH/MOTORSTORM with modern fighting mechanics from STREETFIGHTER IV/FIGHT NIGHT and

drags it kicking and screaming into the 21st Century with next-gen graphics, gameplay, and social

features… all at a downloadable price point.

As such, it positions itself in the Action Arcade space alongside the following competing titles and

joins titles such as SHADOW COMPLEX, LIMBO, SHANK, and BATTLEFIELD 1943 in the ‘Premium

Arcade’ space…

X-STATEMENT – “RAGE TO VICTORY”

BIKER BASH is about one thing – turning your ANGER into VICTORY.

Earn RAGE by riding dangerously and being brutal to your competition, then use it to either Rage

Boost past them to cross the finish line in 1st place or Eliminate them to be the last man standing.

Earn CASH from these victories to then customize your rider, upgrade your bike, and purchase new

weapons to then face off against even tougher opponents.

Compete with Friends via a cloud-based social network, play addictive Versus modes, and have a

friend jump on the back of your bike to take on the world as a team.

So get ready to race, fight, smash, slide, crash your way to the finish line by any means necessary.

TOUR MODE

Players participate in a series of point-to-point stages as they race in a Gumball Rally style race.

Within each stage you’ll face increasingly tough Rival Bikers, local gangs, and Police trying to shut

you down and beautiful locations including:

COMBAT

During racing, players have Health and their bikes have Armor.

Both can be depleted from crashes & combat, and can be replenished/upgraded between races in

exchange for Cash (see Items & Upgrades below).

Whilst racing, players can attack other riders using a Total Control Combat™ system that mimicks the

gesture-based fighting of the EA Sports Fight Night series…

Total Control Combat

Moves are split into three StreetFighter-esque categories of Quick, Medium, and Heavy…

QUICK moves are a single, short tap of the stick. Eg..

o RIGHT = Punch

o FORWARD = Headbutt

o BACK = Kick

MEDIUM moves require a single, short movement of the stick. Eg..

o QUARTER CIRCLE RIGHT = Right hook

o HALF CIRCLE RIGHT = Uppercut

o BACK->FORWARD = Big Kick

HEAVY moves require a charged motion. Eg..

o HOLD LEFT THEN RIGHT = Haymaker

o HOLD BACK THEN FORWARD = Vicious Kick

Depending on the weapon currently held, the above gestures will perform different animations (eg..

swinging a baseball bat or stabbing a pool cue). There may be weapon-specific gestures also (eg..

ROTATE RIGHT STICK to swing a chain above your head and then RIGHT to aim it at the opponent).

Additional gestures will also become available via Rider Upgrades (see Items & Upgrades)

Each successful hit reduces the opponent’s health/armor. Once it is reduced to a critical level, an

Elimination Move can be triggered…

ELIMINATION MOVES

Elimination Moves are dramatic Quick Time Events performed to finish off an enemy and eliminate

them from the race. Upon initiation, both bikes become locked together, the camera zooms in to a

close-up of the action, and a dramatic finishing move must be completed. If the QTE sequence is

completed successfully, the opponent is eliminated. If not, the bikes become unlocked again and the

sequence must be attempted again. In multiplayer game modes both players participate in the QTE.

There are a variety of Elimination Moves available for each rider and more can be purchased from

the Store (see Items & Upgrades later).

GRABBING & LOCK-ON MODE

In addition to melee attacks, the player also has the ability to grab opponents…

Once an opponent is successfully grabbed, both bikes become locked together, the camera

zooms in on the action, and the player can deal close-up damage to the opponent via a first-

person Lock-On mode.

The opponent can block and counter the initial grab move by performing a grab of their

own, or timing a fight move correctly

Once in Lock-On mode, the opponent must successfully complete a QTE sequence to break

out of it

Grabs can also be used to grab loose objects from the environment…

If Grab is pressed next to a ‘loose’ object the player will rip it from the ground and can then

use it as an ad-hoc weapon. Example melee weapons may be signposts, pipes, chairs, road

cones. These weapons will eventually break however and the player must return to their

original inventory weapon.

Some items may therefore be found in challenging and interesting places. Eg.. strike the back of a

truck to open its ramp, then ride up it to get a special weapon hidden inside. Or strike some

scaffolding holding a building up to have it collapse behind you and stop any pursuers

Alternatively, grab onto a passing supercar to get a speed boost (as long as you can hold on!)

The following Case Studies show how fight moves and grabs can be used in conjunction for ultimate

destruction!

COMBAT CASE STUDY 1

In the sequence below, the player approaches an opponent and presses Square to successfully grab

them. The camera then zooms in to a close-up view of the action whereby the player can punish the

other rider in glorious high definition!

In the sequence below, the player approaches a truck carrying logs. They hit the truck using a Total

Combat Control™ gesture which then causes the logs to fall off the back of the truck and eliminate

the opponent behind…

COMBAT CASE STUDY 3

In the sequence below, the player bashes the back of a truck causing the ramp to lower. The player

can then ride into the truck to pick up a special powerup granting them invulnerability for a short

duration…

WEAPONS & POWER-UPS

Before each race, the player can choose two weapons from their arsenal to use in the event.

During racing, these can be cycled between using the D-Pad to create devastating combos. Eg..

electrocute an opponent with the Taser and then smash them across the face with the Mace to get

the “Shock & Awe” combo.

Further ad-hoc weapons can be grabbed from the environment (see Grabbing above) although these

cannot be stored in your inventory to take into the next event.

Powerups may also be hidden in the environment and may provide the rider with a variety of buffs…

Stars – Offer invulnerability for a short duration

Skull & Crossbones – Instantly fills the Rage meter

Golden Knuckledusters – Grants the player use of the Rage Axe weapon for a limited time

(inflicts major damage)

RAGE

BIKER BASH is all about riding dangerously and causing destruction. Both cause the player’s RAGE

meter to fill up…

Once the meter is full, the player can trigger their Rage to initiate both a Nitro boost and a

Damage/Defense increase for a short period of time.

In addition to fighting and racing, players can also increase their Rage meter via performing Stunts.

These are done by holding the L1 modifier in combination with Right Analog stick gestures to allow

Wheelies, Slides, Rail Grinds, Flips and Grabs to be performed…

VISUAL STYLING

The visual styling for BIKER BASH is contemporary and specifically designed to showcase

breathtaking scenery, expressive characters, and dynamic situations.

Inspiration can be found in the work of Gorillaz and uses shaders/tech used in SKiD Racer from our

sister company, Gamagio…

MULTIPLAYER & SOCIAL

BIKER BASH supports a number of multiplayer modes in both LAN, Split-Screen and Online

configurations…

Race First to reach the finishing line is the winner!

Stunt Arena Players have to earn as much cash as possible from performing successful stunts. The player with the most

cash at the end of the time limit is the winner

Eliminator

Hunt

Players have to eliminate as many other AI riders as possible within the time limit. The player with the

highest number of eliminations is the winner

Traffic

Survival

Players have to ride into increasingly dense head-on traffic and survive for as long as possible. The last

rider standing is the winner

Star Run Players have to collect as many Star Items as possible within a race. The player with the most Stars earned

is the winner

Team VIP Each team must try and take out the opposing VIP biker. The VIP cannot attack so it’s up to their

teammates to protect them

PARTNER MODE

As well as each mode can be playable in Solo Versus (single rider) mode, they can also be played in

Partner Versus too. Here, a friend takes the role of pillion passenger in the rear seat.

Both riders can fight but only the front rider can steer. Players can request to swap places using the

(R1) button at any time and can use this in combination with fight moves to create tag-team style

combos.

The pillion passenger can also switch between looking forward to attack opponents up ahead and

flipping to reverse to defend against attackers from behind.

Finally, BIKER BASH also pushes social and asynchronous play via a cloud-based social network

allowing players to:

Compare their Profiles with Friends

Connect with Friends and share photos/replays

Compete via Recommendations and online modes

Challenge Friends to beat times/scores
