Challenges – How we were doing things… Our Challenges – • Credit card payments - our staff had to call the provider’s

office to obtain a patient’s credit card information, or process the payment manually when the information was mailed with an invoice.

• Limited payment options - patients payment acceptance and processing was cumbersome to both Alta and its clients.

• Incoming check payments - physically transported to each of the providers’ banks; a time-consuming daily task.

• Hard to grow out-of-state - our company’s early success attracted out-of-state clients with out of-state banking relationships, making the deposits of those paper checks a significant challenge.

• Inefficient use of staff time - due to a complicated payment acceptance process

Summary

• Small businesses (particularly younger entrepreneurs) see banks as a commodity

• Banks must distinguish themselves with unique services and technology to cement long-term relationships

• In my experience and research, the DH suite of services is unique. Many vendors can match 2-3 services – but I have found very few that can match the entire suite.

• D+H has been a critical partner for us as in enabling the growth of our interstate business, controlling patient payments and managing our own receivables
