This Steamer is manufacturered in compliance with international safety regulations designed to safeguard the users.

The Steamer can be used to steam pre-cooked food (e.g. Buns). It can be placed on counter-tops in convenience stores, cafes & restaurants, supermarkets and similar eateries.

Please do not place more than 1.5 kg of food load onto each tray.(maximum food load: 1.5 kg per tray x 5 trays = 8.0 kg).

Please confirm your country’s power supply and ensure that you are using the Unit with the correct power supply applicable to your country / region. When disconnecting the main power cord, do so while holding the base of the cord. Please do not disconnect by pulling at the cord.⇒ Disconnecting the power cord by pulling the cord may damage the cord and may

Please do not use an extension cable, or multiple extention cables to otherappliances.

Safeguards 1 - 2 Handling Instructions

** To prevent fires, electric shocks, burns, troubles, etc., please take some time to read the safety guidelines listed in this section.

** Install the unit on a flat or level surface.

** Two people are required when carrying the main unit.

** Place the unit in a well-ventilated area. Leave a 5-cm space between the top and each side of the unit.

Carrying the unit with only one person is extremely hazardous and may result in damage to the unitand/or personal injury.

Steam and heat emitted from the unit may affectthe items within close proximity of the unit.

**Please do not put anything other than pre-cookedfood into the unit.

** Please use ONLY Distilled or Purified Water.

** Do not use any type of extension cord that are notapproved.

The extension cord may overheat, leading to a firehazard.

Usage of any other type of water may cause the unitto malfunction or create an unpleasant odor.

** Do not use on a table or surface that cannot withstand heat.

The table or surface may become discoloured ordeformed.

**Use an exclusive wall outlet rated at the power specific to your country / region.For example: USA (13.6A 120V);UK&EU (6.7A-7.4A 220V-240V), e.t.c.Failure to do so may result in an electric shock or fire.

Doing so may cause boiling water to spill from the unit and result in serious injury. It may also causethe unit to malfunction.

Do not touch the operation panel with wet hands. Doing so may result in an electric shock.

Do not tilt or move the unit.Doing so may result in the unit overturning whichcan cause serious injury.(i.e. scalding water from the heated water tank)

** Care for and clean both the inside and outside of the unit at least once a day.

Failing to clean the unit on a daily basis may causethe unit to malfunction or create an unpleasant odor.

** Do not place the unit upside-down.

** Pay attention to the ambient temperature.

** When inserting or removing the power plug, please hold on to the base of the plug.

** Do not soak/submerge the entire unit in water.Do not clean the unit with a water jet. Do not place the unit close to the sink or any otherpotentially wet locations.

Doing so may result in an electric shock or cause the unit to short circuit.

Handling the power plug by just holding the cord will damage the power cord; and may cause an electricshock or fire.

** The power plug should be disconnected when the unit is not in use.

Keeping the plug attached to the outlet when the unit is not in use may result in a fire hazard or electric shock.

If the surrounding is at or will reach freezing temperatures, take care to discard all the water. If water becomes frozen inside the unit, only operate it after all the water has completely liquified.Using the unit with ice in the unit may cause it to malfunction.

** Do not allow individuals (e.g. customers) withoutknowledge to handle the unit.Doing so may result in burns and/or other injuries.

** Do not move or transport the unit during operationor immediately after use.Boiling water may spill and cause serious injuries.

** Do not place anything on top of the main body.This may damage the unit or lead to malfunction.

Daily care and cleaning of the curved, double-layered glass is simple.The equipment is specially designed with a unique, curved front glass that has no metal frames to obstruct the view of the products inside, to betterattract the attention of customers.

● Allow a 5-cm / 2 inches spacing from the top and all sides of the unit.

● Do not place on a surface which has weak resistance to heat.

4 4-1 Preparation before Use

Please follow the procedures indicated below to raise the temperature above 170°F or 70℃ to steam buns.

2.Supply water up to the "Max" line indicated on the plastic water gauge.

* DO NOT supply water above the “MAX” line. If excessive water is supplied to the unit, boiling water may be ejected.

3.Insert the power plug into the wall outlet. Turn the main power switch to the "On" position. “00” blinks when the main power switch is “On”

4.Once the temperature displayed shows above 170°F or 70℃, the “Put in Food” lamp will light up. At this time, it is alright to put cooked buns inside the unit for heating. First, open the glass door slightly to allow accumulated steam to escape before opening it completely. Using the tongs provided, pull out one tray at a time, slowly.

5.Place the pre-cooked food (e.g. buns) on each tray as shown on the right. Repeat as necessary for every tray. After sliding in the last tray, close the door. * Do not place the pre-cooked food (e.g.buns) touching the edge of the tray as they may become out of shape* 6.Push on the [Reheat] button after a replenishment of food (e.g. buns) in the unit or a new load of pre-cooked food has been placed into the unit. The temperature will rise to 185°F or 85℃; thereafter reduce back to 167°F  or 75℃, and maintain at normal mode.

● Wipe the tray with a dishcloth.

● 9-pc placement orientations sample. Making use of this placement orientations can help optimise the heating capabilities of the unit.

Do not handle the power cord with wet hands.Doing so may result in an electric shock and/or injury.

1.Draw the handle to open the door of the unit. Remove each tray, clean and return to the unit.

● Note that: The main power switch is the white-coloured switch

Do not place hands or face directly into the unit when it is in operation.Doing so may result in burn injuries.

Place ONLY pre-cooked food (e.g. buns) in this unitfor steaming.Please observe daily care / cleaning for hygiene purposes.Failing to do so may lead to malfunctioning of unit.Please attach the power cord of the unit directly to the walloutlet. Do not use an extension cable or any other similartype of device.Doing so may result in overheating and/or fire.

How to Use4 4-2 Dispensing from Unit

1.First, draw the handle slightly to open the door to allow accumulated hot steam to escape from the unit. Then open the door completely.

2.Pull out each tray using a cloth or hand mittens.

3.Use the tongs to pick up the steamed food, (e.g. buns) remove from the tray, and serve.

4.Using the tongs, slowly return the tray back to its original position and close the door.

5.Clean the tongs with a clean cloth before returning it to the tong hanger.

● Once all accumulated steam is released, open the unit completely.

As the temperature in the unit becomes very hotwhen in operation, it is recommended to keep your face about 40cm away from it. Going too near to the unit may result in burn injuries.

Only authorised and/or trained personnels should be allowed to operate the unit. Unauthorised or untrained personnels handling the unitmay result in injuries.

Do not close the door of the unit with force.

Doing so may damage the glass on the unit.

Always use a clean cloth to clean the tongs after each usage. It is unhygienic as well as a violation to the Health Codes/Sanitary regulations to use an unclean cloth.

1. Draw the door handle, open the door slightly to allow excess steam to escape. Thereafter open the door completely. 2. Pull out the tray using the tongs provided. Thereafter, with a cloth or hand mittens, firmly grasp the tray and lift to pull the tray from its supporting rail. 3. Wash the tray.  ※ Do not use harsh, strong detergents or chemicals. Refrain from using rough-surfaced sponges. 4. Dry the tray. Place new load of pre-cooked buns onto the tray. Do not place the buns touching the edge of the tray as the buns may become out of shape. 5. Return the tray back into the unit and close the door.

6. Push on the [Reheat] button after a replenishment of buns into the unit.  When the internal temperature reaches 185°F or 85℃, it will then move back to the normal operating mode at 167°F or 75℃.

4 - 4 How to Supply Water

1. Draw the lid to the water supply port found below the door outwards.

3. Close the lid of the water supply port.

● Press [REHEAT] button

● Wash the tray

● Pull out the tray by:① Lifting up;② Pull from its rail.

※When refilling buns, take care not to mix up with the steamed buns already in the unit.

As the temperature in the unit becomes very hot whenin operation, it is recommended to keep your face about 40cm away from it.Going too near to the unit may result in burn injuries.

When pulling out the tray from the unit, please make use of the tongs provided.

When removing a tray from the unit, please use a clothor hand mittens to firmly grasp the tray while lifting and pulling the tray from its supporting rail.

Failure to do so may result in burns or other injuries.

Do not use regular tap water to supply water to theunit. Use ONLY Distilled or Purified water.Failure to do so may cause the unit to malfunction.

Do not over-supply water above the “Max” level on the water supply port. If excessive water is supplied to unit, boiling water may be ejected

2. Pour the water into the water supply port up to the “MAX” line of the plastic water gauge. Please pour slowly to avoid overflow.

1.Turn off the unit’s Power Switch (yellow button) and the Main Power Switch (white switch). Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet.

2.Prepare a 7-Litre (approx. 2-Gallons) or larger capacity plastic bucket, for draining water from the unit.

3.Detach the drainage hose from it’s original “resting” position.

4.Place the mouth of the drain hose into the bucket. Remove the cover lid at the tip of the drainage hose.

5.Once the tank is completely empty, replace the cover lid to the drainage hose.

Exercise caution when draining water fromthe unit as boiling water can cause scaldsand burns.

6.Replace the drainage hose back to its original position onto the unit.

7.Fill the water tank with DISTILLED or PURIFIED "Max" level.

8.Reconnect the power cord to the wall outlet, turn on the Main Power Switch (white switch) and unit’s Power Switch (yellow button).

Change the water in the unit once or more on a daily basis.

Make sure to use ONLY DISTILLED or PURIFIED water when filling the water tank of the unit.These types of water do not contain mineral deposits and contaminants that are found in regular tap water, that can damage the regular operation of the unit.

Maintenance Procedure 5-1 How to Change water

When draining water from the unit, use protective, gloves, potholders, etc to handle the drain hose. Failure to do so may result in scalding or burns.

Use ONLY DISTILLED or PURIFIED water when filling the unit.Failure to do so may cause the unit to malfunction.

When filling water into the unit, take care not to spill onto the surroundings.Doing so may cause an electric shock.

PrecautionsAlways ensure that the power plug is removed before changing water. Do not attempt to handlethe main power cord with wet hands. Failure to do so may result in electric shock and/or injury.

Do not overfill the unit with water above “MAX”level. If excessive water is supplied, boiling water may be ejected

5Cleaning the interior of the unit

1. Turn off the unit’s Power Switch (yellow button) and Main Power Switch (white switch). Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet.

2. Cool the unit by letting it sit with the door completely open.

3. Remove all trays and the tank cover.

4. Use a toothbrush to clean the tray receiver rails and its surrounding areas.

5. Prepare an empty plastic bucket and place the mouth of the drainage hose into the plastic bucket.

6. Remove the cover lid from the drainage hose and drain all water from the unit. Replace the cover lid to the mouth of the drainage hose.

7. Using a moist / lint-free cloth, wipe down all glass and stainless steel portions of the unit. Do not use any detergents or harsh cleansing agents.

※ To maintain a high level of hygiene and cleanliness, clean the unit on a daily basis.

Maintenance Procedure

● Open the door to help cool the unit quickly.

● Remove dirt in the empty spaces between the tray receiver rails using a toothbrush.

● Prepare a bucket to drain water from the unit.

※ Never use harsh, strong detergents or chemicals, etc., when cleaning the unit. Doing so may degrade cause deterioration to the internal parts and significantly decrease the functioning life of the unit.

5-2 Daily Maintenance

Always ensure that the power plug is removedbefore beginning to clean. Do not attempt to handlethe main power cord with wet hands.Failure to do so may cause electric shock or injury.

Never use strong detergents to clean the unit.Doing so may lead to premature deterioration to theinternal parts of the unit. Use only clean cloth (withno detergents) for interior curved glass. Cleaning with detergents may cause glass to become foggy.

The unit is extremely hot immediately after use.Please wait for it to cool down before cleaning.Doing otherwise may result in burns injuries.

When filling the unit with water, take care not to spill onto the operating panel.A wet, operating panel may cause the electrical components to malfunction; and/or electric shock.

5 Maintenance Procedure

Do not use harsh or strong detergents, chemicals, etc to clean the tray.Doing so may cause premature deterioration to the internal parts of the unit.

Do not wipe the electric wire and earth cable extending from the main unit to the mains connector.Doing so may cause an electric shock.

Do not use harsh or strong detergents, chemicals,etc., to clean the exterior surface.Doing so may cause deterioration to the parts of the unit.Do not use rough sponges, scrubbing brushes, orsteel wool to clean the exterior surface.Doing so may cause damage and/or scratches tothe glass surface.

When cleaning the exterior surface, do not soak theunit in water, wash at the sink or clean the unit by a water jet. Doing so may damage the unit or evencause an electric shock.

1.Wash the tray with water using a soft, non-abrasive sponge and wipe with a dry cloth.

2. Return the tray to the unit.

1.Remove tongs from the handle and wash with water.

2. Wipe the tongs using a dry cloth.

3. Return the tongs to the tongs’ hanger.

1.Wipe the curved glass with a moist or lint-free cloth.

2. Wipe down all sides with a moist or lint-free cloth.

3. Please note that the unit SHALL NOT be cleaned by a water jet.

Cleaning the Evaporating Tank and the Water Supply Port

1. Using a soft sponge, scrub the evaporating tank and the water supply port thoroughly. ** Depending on the length of usage of the unit, accumulated

scales may not be able to be removed completely.

Cleaning the Evaporating Tank Cover

1. Wash the evaporating tank cover with water. Wipe dry with a clean cloth.

2. Return the evaporating tank cover to the unit.

2. Flush the dirt and debris from the tank by pouring water into the tank.

3. Prepare an empty bucket and place the mouth of the drainage hose towards the bucket.

4. Remove the cover lid from the mouth of the drainage hose and drain the dirty water from the unit. Replace the cover lid after draining off the water completely. Fill in clean, distilled or purified water into the unit again.

5 Maintenance Procedure 5-3 Cleaning

1. Turn off the unit’s Power Switch (yellow button) and Main Power Switch (white button). Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet.

2. Make sure the unit has been cooled down completely. (Leave the door open till it is completely cooled down.)

3. Remove the evapolating cover from inside the unit in the direction as shown in ①.

4. Remove the lids to the water supply port in the directions as shown in ② and ③.

5. You will now be able to reach the evaporating tank as well as the water supply port. (**Please refer to Page 14**)

1. Turn off the unit’s Power Switch (yellow button) and Main Power Switch (white button). Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet.

2. Make sure the unit has been cooled down completely. (Leave the door open till it is completely cooled down.)

3. Lift up the lid to the plastic water gauge.

4. Clean the metal sensors using a toothbrush to remove accumulated dirt and scales.

Precautions

Always ensure that the power plug is removedbefore beginning to clean. Do not attempt to handlethe main power cord with wet hands.Failure to do so may cause electric shock or injury.

Never use strong detergents to clean the unit.Doing so may lead to premature deterioration to theinternal parts of the unit.

The unit is extremely hot immediately after use.Please wait for it to cool down before cleaning.Doing otherwise may result in burns injuries.

When removing the parts or cleaning, take care notto spill water onto the operating panel..A wet, operating panel may cause the electrical components to malfunction; and/or electric shock.

The glass is fragile. Please handle with care whenremoving and returning it to the unit.Rough handling may result in breakage and causeinjury.

1. Loosen the screws from the stainless steel attachment that locks the drip- proof glass in place. * Take care to keep the screws well.

2. Pull the drip-proof glass slowly towards you. Take care not to drop the glass when removing it from the unit.

3. Wash the glass with water.

4. Wipe off water with a dry cloth.

5. Insert the glass back onto the rail in the unit.

6. Push the drip-proof glass forward until it touches the curved glass and fix it into place with the screws.

● Check inside the gasket of the door frequently to maintain hygiene and cleanliness.

● Clean the gasket using the brush that is provided with the unit; or using a moist cloth.

Removing limescale inside the evaporating tank (citric-acid maintenance) White scales that accumulates on the inside of the evaporating tank

is the by-product (limescale) from our local tap water.This can be removed when it is soaked in citric-acid solutions. However, depending on the length of usage of the unit, excessive scales may not be able to be removed completely.

5 Maintenance Procedure 5-5 When scale accumulates

● Add 80g of citric acid when water becomes hot.

● Mix well and replace the cover. Allow to sit for about an hour.

● Scrub and wash, with the existing citric-acid solution.

Citric acid may be used for food products, but direct consumption is NOT recommended.

Citric acide is available for sale at local drugstores or from our Serivce Counters.

Beware of burn injuries that can be caused byhot, boiling water when adding and mixing citric acid.Please do not use wired wool brushes whencleaning the interior of the tanks.Doing so may cause premature deteriorationand reduce functioning life of the unit.

1. Remove 5 trays, evaporating tank cover; and drip-proof glass from the unit.

2. Supply water up to "MAX" line of the plastic water gauge.

3. Turn on the power supply to heat the water. When the displayed temperature reaches 170°F or 70℃, turn off the power supply and disconnect from the wall socket.

4. Add 80g of citric acid into the evaporating tank immediately and mix well.

5. Replace the evaporating tank cover, close the door and allow it to sit for about an hour, with power turned off.

6. Scrub hard on the interior with a nylon brush or cloth with the existing citric-acid solution.

7. Dispose of the dirt and drain the water.

9. Clean the evaporating tank cover with a nylon brush etc., and rinse with water.

10 . This completes the “citric-acid” maintenance. Replace the parts to the unit; and lastly, please ensure that you clean your hand as well.

8. Rinse the evaporating tank completely.

● Rinse the interior of the tank completely.

How to Store 6

1.Perform all the steps mentioned in the [Maintenance Procedures] in Section 5.

2.Leave the main unit with its door open for a day to ensure the unit is completely dry.

3.Place the unit into a plastic bag with the top of the unit facing upwards. Thereafter, place the unit in a cardboard box.

4.Store in a dry place.

When the main body is not used for a long period of time, store it in accordance with the following procedures.

Please store the main unit in accordance with the conditions mentioned above.Failure to do so may result in damage to the unit and / or accidents caused by the unit.

PrecautionsAlways ensure the main power is turned off; and the power plug is removed beforehand. Failure to do so may result in an electric shockand/or injury.

Always store the unit in a dry place where the temperature does not reach zero or freezing point.A sub-zero temperature may cause permanentdamage to the parts.

● Place the unit in a plastic bag and store it in a cardboard box.

7When the Steamer is unable to operate safely, an error indication appearson the temperature display on the display panel; and the operation stops.

7-1 Error Display Definitions

① Confirm that the power cord of the unit is disconnected from the wall outlet; and the unit is “OFF”.

② Check with the main building’s or the shop’s electrician if the switch of the main Electric Leakage Breaker is “OFF”. 

(3) How to check the unit’s Electric Leakage Breaker:

Using a “+” screwdriver, remove the 4screws holding the cover to the ELB.Remove the cover and the ELB will beexposed to view.

When "no indication" appears on the display panel:The electricity may not have been supplied to the unit. 1. Check that the power cord is corrrectly plugged into the power outlet. Plug in to the power point and switch on the unit.*2. The switch of the main Electric Leakage Breaker may have been activated.*3. The unit’s Electric Leakage Breaker may have been activated.*Please refer to procedures as indicated below for (2) & (3)

Push the lever to the left, to the “ON” position.

With one person on each side, slowly tilt theunit to lie it flat on the table.The ELB compartment is found at the bottom of the unit.

Troubleshooting7

① The fluorescent lamp socket is loose.

There are two possible reasons why the fluorescent lamp does not turn on properly.To fix this problem, please follow through and perform the following procedures

① How to tighten the fluorescent lamp

② The fluorescent lamp has gone out. (Fluorescent lamp is a replaceable part)

Turn "OFF" the fluorescent lamp switch (black switch)and main power switch (white switch). Disconnect the power cordfrom the wall outlet.

③ Check if the fluorescent lamp socket is loose. If so, tighten it.

④ Reconnect the power cord to the wall outlet. Turn the main power switch and the unit’s power switch to "ON". Check to see if the lamp lights up by turning on the fluorescent lamp switch.

Prepare a new fluorescent lamp.

Return the cover of the top compartment and fasten it with the screws.

7-2 When fluorescent lamp does not light up

① Turn "OFF" the fluorescent lamp switch (black) and the main power switch (white). Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet.② Remove the screws on the top compartment cover. Remove the top cover. Keep the screws well. 

② How to change the fluorescent lamp

Lamp does not light up.

Unplug the fluorescentlamp and remove itfrom the holdingbracket.

Troubleshooting7The Main Power Switch cuts-off frequently

Main unit has been dropped. Turn "OFF" the power supply. Disconnect the power cord from wall outlet. Contact either the store from which the Steam Master unit was purchased or Customer Service for repair.

● Is the door open?

● Is there an overflow of hot water from the evaporating tank cover?

● Has there been enough time for the unit to heat up?

● Has the unit been placed near another heat source, such as an oven?

● Is the unit being placed in a location that is too windy?

⇒ Close the door.⇒ Turn off the power supply and drain hot water from the water supply port until the water level is below the "MAX" line.⇒ Allow sufficient time for the unit to heat up.⇒ Turn off the unit and place the unit in another location away from other heat sources.⇒ Close windows, doors, etc.

Smoke comes out of the unit when in operation.

A burnt smell is emitted when the unit is in operation.

Power does not turn on at all.

● Is the main power cord disconnected from or incorrectly connected to the wall outlet?● Is the unit’s power switch turned “OFF”? ● Is the main power switch turned "OFF"?

● Is the water level below the "MIN" line?

● Check the shop’s wall outlet. Has the main circuit breaker been turned off or was there a fuse blown?

⇒ Check and insert the power cord properly into the wall outlet.⇒ Turn "ON" the unit’s power switch (yellow button). ⇒ Turn on the main power switch (white switch).

⇒ Supply/Refill water up to the "MAX" line.

⇒ If repairs are beyond your capacity, contact an electrician for repair.

Temperature does not rise to recommended level.

● Is the unit being placed on an uneven surface?

● Has the unit been filled with too much water?

● Has water accidentally spilt out when filling the unit?

● Is the cover lid fitted securely over the mouth of the drainage hose?

⇒ Turn off the unit and place it on an even and level surface.⇒ Turn off the power and drain excess water from the plastic water gauge until the water level is below the "MAX" line.⇒ Wipe off water and turn on the unit. Observe whether or not the unit functions properly.⇒ Adjust the cover lid securely over the mouth of the drainage hose.

Water leaks.

● Is there something caught between the door and the body of the unit?

⇒ Remove the foreign object.
