Sand & Birchè uno studio italiano di design che opera nei settori del design di alta gamma e di lusso, progettazione di interni e architettura.

Nel 2003 Andrea Fino e Samanta Snidaro decidono di mettere insieme le loro differenti esperienze in un solo progetto: reinterpretare il concetto di arreda-mento e portare altri significati e nuova vitalità agli Oggetti. Un esempio di come questa idea si sia materializzata è il Divano Diamante, un divano inter-pretato come fosse un gioiello, ma che non perde la sua funzionalità.Andrea Fino ha studiato giurisprudenza e ha lavorato nel settore della comunicazione; Samanta Snidaro ha studiato architettura in Italia e Spagna e haavuto diverse esperienze nella fotografia e nella grafica. Insieme hanno iniziato ad occuparsi di forme, materiali e design, cercando di tirare fuori daglioggetti gli aspetti nascosti e sacrificati dalla produzione industriale.Sand & Birch Design auto-produce il proprio design avvalendosi di audaci artigiani italiani e scegliendo materiali di ottima qualità; predilige le piccole, li-mitate o limitatissime produzioni che permettono di sperimentare, personalizzare e realizzare oggetti esclusivi e di qualità, all'insegna dello "slow luxury".Sand & Birch Design fornisce servizi di progettazione a clienti privati ed aziende.

Sand & Birch

is an Italian design studio working in the hi-end and luxury design, interior design and architecture.

Sand & Birch Design Studio was founded in 2003 when Andrea Fino and Samanta Snidaro decided to join their different cultural backgrounds and expe-

riences together for a unique project: to re-interpret the concept of furnishing and to bring other meanings, other senses and other lives to Objects. The

Diamond Sofa is an example of how this project has become reality by turning a sofa into a piece of jewellery without losing its original functions.

Andrea Fino has studied law and at present is working in the field of communication and has gained experience in visual communication in the realiza-

tion of social events. Samanta Snidaro has studied architecture in Italy and Spain and has had various experiences in the fields of photography and gra-

phics. Together they began to focus on shapes and design, devoting their efforts mainly to take other natures, hidden or sacrificed for the production

demands, out of ordinary objects.

Sand & Birch Design's collection is manufactured by skilled Italian craftsmen with the best quality materials. It favours small, limited or very limited produc-

tions that permit to test, customize and create unique items and quality, characterized by the values of the "slow luxury".

Velvet

L’idea del nastro avvolto su se stesso è alla base del conceptdi Velvet, un divano in legno curvato a vapore.Le volute compongono un pezzo di arredamento elegante esorprendente. Sulla struttura in legno viene steso uno strato dipoliuretano. Il rivestimento è disponibile in velluto o microfibra. Velvet is a concept-sofa made of steam-bent wood and desi-

gned as a ribbon wrapped on itself.

Velvet’s spirals create an elegant and surprising piece of furni-

ture. The wooden structure is covered with polyurethane, while

the external covering is available on velvet or microfiber.

Soft Pipe chaise longue is inspired by the

shape of a lying down woman, dressed in

her long gloves and boots. Two pipes co-

vered with soft coloured leather and metal-

lic parts on their overboard become a

dynamic, plastic, surprising and sensual

sculpture. Internal structure is totally made

of steel pipes covered with polyurethane.

Olivia is a Led floor lamp, made of aluminium.

Its design comes from two different inspirations: Popeye's girlfriend

silhouette - a childhood memory evocating the infinite potential

of those days - and a conceive about destructured, fragmented

and segmented simplicity of shapes. The result is an oneiric and
